BUSTED HOSE #2

Equipment Needed:  Deluge Gun
                                    4 - 2 ½” Hose
                                    1 - 2 ½” Busted Hose
                                    1 - Press-down Clamp 

Fire Gear Needed:    Boots and Helmet 

Number of People:     Five (5) 

Object: To replace a busted section of 2 ½” hose with two (2) good sections and knock over a target with water from a deluge gun. 

1.                 At the sound of the judge’s whistle, team members proceed to perform the following tasks: 

a.      Clamp 2 ½” hose at least six (6) feet from any coupling.

b.     Uncouple the busted hose.

c.      Unroll 2 - 2 ½” sections of hose (pre-rolled in a storage roll, male coupling inside) connect together to replace busted section.

d.     Advance to the deluge gun, which has been preset with the nozzle in the upright position.  Aim nozzle using only hand controls.  No tipping of the deluge gun allowed.

e.      Unclamp hose and knock over target with stream from deluge gun.
