BUCKET BRIGADE WITH BUILDING

Fire Gear Needed:        Boots and Helmet 

Number of people:        Five (5)

Object: To fill a 55 gallon drum situated at the end of a rain gutter which is attached to the eave of a small tin top building by pitching buckets of water on the roof. 

1.                 Time will begin on the judges’ command at a distance of 50’ away from the dip tank.  Team members will advance shuttling water from the dip tank to the roof of the building.  Time will end one (1) minute after the start signal was given. 

2.                 The team collecting the most water in the barrel will be the winner. 

3.                 There will be a throwing limit (foul line) eight (8) feet from the building.  Each step over the line is a ¼” penalty. 

4.                 At the end of the one (1) minute throwing period, water will be allowed to drain for an additional minute before a measurement is taken. 

5.                 There will be one (1) extra bucket which can be used if a bucket accidentally falls or is thrown over the foul line.  There is NO penalty for this.
