Stories: Jim Habegger

A Baha'i personality told me, in the presence of a Baha'i friend, that another friend of mine was a follower of Covenant breakers.  My Baha'i friend took that as gospel truth, without any further investigation whatsoever, and responded to my objections by suggesting that I was being duped.

I was in a rage for some time after that, searching furiously for some way to put a stop to that.  I finally came up with the idea of educating everyone I can in the Baha'i Faith, about my friend who is being slandered, and others.

At the same time, I've been thinking about how to respond to defamation campaigns against the Baha'i Faith, by some members and former members who feel threatened and betrayed by Baha'i institutions.

These pages are part of my strategies for responding to defamation, both against people and against the Baha'i Faith.
