This was some of the ice I had to dive under  in the Chesapeake Bay as a Navy Diver.

Naval Air Station Crashcrew Boathouse.  Our dive team stayed in port while our mother ship put out to sea.

Another view with all of the ice across the inlet.  More times than not...we needed a tug boat to clear a path through the ice for our boat to get out to go make a dive.
