Resident Assistants are in place to ensure a safe, fun, and comfortable living environment. First and foremost, we are here to foster a community oriented residence life where all students in Henderson House have a mutual respect for one another.
Among our duties includes mediating disputes, with the goal of coming to a decision which fits not only Howe Hall regulations but the concerns of those sharing residence in Henderson House as well.
Resident Assistants, along with Residence Council, are selected to encourage close knit relationships between students in a combined effort to achieve an atmosphere where all feel welcome and have an equal opportunity to contribute. Among the tasks of residence assistants is to plan one program per semester to help promote this fun and collaborative environment where no one feels left out.
Residence Assistants are hired because of their in-depth experience in university, residence, and everyday life. Therefore they are deemed capable, mature peer advisors you should feel comfortable in consulting with if any problems arise.
