Notes:
  • NV 2 can be balanced and 4 - 4 in the majors, and the mini 1NT denies 4 - 4 in the majors. Vulnerable it shows exactly 4 cards in one major and at least 5 in the other. With 5 - 5 open something else.
  • 1 - 1 shows at least 5 cards as opener would have opened 2 with a 4-card unless maximum.
  • 1/ cannot be minimum with a good 6-card suit, otherwise a Weak Two bid would have been opened.
    In a strong pass system, there are no 3rd and 4th seat openings because pass is also an opening bid.
