Surrounded by beautifull  mountains like the "Cerro de la Silla", symbol of the city, Monterrey is located  in the North-East of Mexico, it´s the capital of Nuevo León, first know as El Nuevo Reino de León  it is the second biggest industrial metropoly in Mexico and home of big capitals and industries from the country.

This city is inspired by modern constructions, large avenues and the new buildings which contrast with the center of the peacefull Down Town, where it is located the most large square in the world, "The Macro Plaza", where locals like to do walks and go for Night Life Bar´s and Discos.  Different from  other Mexican places, thanks to its architectural, people diversity, business activities, decoration, Sports, culture and education,  Monterrey is the center of the New Country that mexicans want to build for the new millenium.  You can find arround the city sculptures of various styles and times as well as ultramodern buildings who contrast with  the traditional  Cathedral of our Lady of Monterrey, decorated gardens & a mixture of  colors.

The  weather has an average 25° celcius, going in the winter from 0° or lower, to 48° in the summer. Monterrey has a Biosfera rich in animals and vegetation and sports just like Fishing, Hunting, Hiking, Climbing, and Camping can be practice in the area not far from the city.

This city, founded in 1596 by Diego de Montemayor, fell into a very great lethargy, until the North-American invasion of the city in 1846 and finally to be released in 1848 thanks to the Treaty of Guadalupe.  A few years later, Mariano Escobedo succeeds in expelling the French who had settle in the city during several years. Finally, Monterrey knew its apogee thanks to its industry of metallurgy and its  Cuauhtémoc Brewery, home of the world famous TECATE, SOL & CHIHUAHUA.

Monterrey's traditions are centered around the cement, glass, steel and beer industries that flourished in this vibrant city. Its proximity to the border whit Texas offers an easy way for exports  to US markets. Monterrey's financial community and contribution drive the local manufacture of products to impact Mexico's overall economy significantly.
