Step 1

Open a new transparent canvas  400 x 400  and
fill with white.
Add a new raster layer.

Change your foreground to the glitter gold pattern.

Selections --> Load/Save -->
Load Selection from Disk -->
Load  'gerdas123' -->

Fill this selection with the gold pattern.

Selections --> Modify --> Contract by 2.
Fill the selection with the color  #353a1c

Effects --> Texture Effects -->Texture:
Find the 'Woodgrain'- texture.
Apply with these settings below:

Deselect.

 

Step 2

Open the 'afb56'- image supplied.
Of course your are welcome to use your own
image as well. Even a family picture will look great! ;-)

 We need to address the border first.
Activate the Magic Wand -
the settings should be:
Mode = Add
Tolerance = 20.
Select the 4 borders (frames)
Selections --> Modify --> Expand by 1.
Keep selected!
Fill with the gold pattern.

Selections --> Modify --> Contract by 1.
Press delete.

Copy and paste the image onto your canvas.
Drag the image around so that the faces
are visible:

Selections --> Invert.

Press delete.

Merge al layers.

Step 3

Add a 10 pixel border with a color
not present in your image.

Select and fill with white.

Adjust --> Add/Remove Noise -->
Add Noise: Gaussian / 15 / monochrome
Deselect.

Add a 2 pixel border in any color BUT WHITE!
Select with the magic wand and fill with the gold pattern.
Deselect.

 Add a 5 pixel border in the green color.
Add a 2 pixel border in any other color.
Select with the magic wand and fill with the gold pattern.
Deselect.

Add a 10 pixel border.
Fill with white.
Repeat the noise - effect.
Deselect.

Add a 2 pixel border. Select and fill with gold.

Add a new border: 'Symmetric' should not be checked now!!
Fill in these values below:



Select with your magic wand and
fill with the green color #353a1c.

Repeat the same Woodgrain -texture effect
as in step 1.

Add another 2 pixel border and fill with gold.
Deselect.
 

Step 4

Add a new layer.
Change the foreground color to the gold glitter pattern.
Selections --> Load/Save --> Load from Disk.
Load 'gerdas125 ' - selection.

Fill with the gold pattern.

Selections --> Modify --> Contract by 2.
Fill the selection with the green color.
Repeat the same woodgrain texture effect as before.
Deselect.

Apply a drop shadow: 0/10/50/5 color = black.

Add a new layer.

Selections --> Load from Disk.
Load ' gerdas126'.
Fill with white.

Effects --> Texture Effects --> Sculpture.
Use the normal GOLD FOIL pattern
as seen below:

Deselect.
 

Step 5

Open the 'gerda126'- tube.
 Copy and paste as a new layer onto the canvas.
Drag it to the frame door, as seen in the example above.
Lock your bottom layer in the Layers palette.
Activate one of the others and merge the layers.
Unlock the bottom layer again.
Image --> Mirror.
Duplicate this layer.
Image --> Mirror.
Shift it into position so that the hinges fit
against the gold frame,
as seen below:



Add your name.
You can use the 'BickhamFancy2'- font in the common gold pattern.
Apply a drop shadow:  0/1/50/0 color = black.
