This tutorial was written for PSP 9.
You need to be experienced in PSP for this tut.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

FILTERS
NVR Bordermania
Xero - Porcelain

Supplies:
 One tube: 'rw-valente wintersunrise'
- from Jeanne.
 
A tube template 'gerdakerst55'
A tube 'christmaslovegerda'.
One brush 'gerdatekst26'.

Download the supplies here

NOTE: Ri
ght - click on the zip file.
Choose  the 'Extract to here' - option in
the drop-down menu
to open the file.
DO NOT click directly with the left mouse button on
the downloaded zip file. Lycos will only show
an empty folder
if you do that. :))


 

Step 1

Set the foreground color on  #8c99a2,
background on #d8beb4.
Change the foreground color to gradient:
Style - Linear
Angle 45
Repeats 3
Invert - checked.

 

Open a new canvas, size 600x400 px
and fill with the gradient.

Open the template tube 'rw-valente wintersunrise'.
Paste as a new layer onto the canvas.

 

Step 2

Activate the bottom layer.
Image --> Picture Frames --> Edge Circle 01 ( standard in PSP 9)
Apply with these settings:


 

Change the opacity of the picture frame layer to 52%
in the Layers palette.
 

Effects --> Texture Effects -->  Fine leather:

 

Step 3

Open the tube 'template gerdakerst55'.
Copy and paste onto the canvas as a new layer.
Drag it to the right against the tree.
Reduce the opacity of this layer to 90%.
Merge all layers.

 

Effects--> Filters Effects  -->  Xero -->Porcelain (standard)

 

Step 4

Change the foreground color to gradient.
Selections --> Select All.
Selections --> Modify --> Contract by 27
Selections --> Invert.
Fill te selections with the gradient.
Keep selected!

 

Effects-->Filter Effects --> Bordemania--> Ripple:

 


Deselect.

 

Step 5

Open the frame 'christmaslovegerda'.
Copy and paste as a new layer onto the canvas.
Merge all layers.

 

Step 6

Foreground color should be on gradient.
Change the gradient's settings to:

Sunburst / Angle 45 / Repeats 9.

Activate the Brush tool.
Find the '
gerdatekts26'.
Apply the brush to the center top of the canvas.
 

Apply a drop shadow:
 1/1/27/0 color black.

Repeat

  1/1//100/0 color white.

Add your name or watermark.
Have fun with your romantic Christmas creation :))
