Part Two

Step 7
The candles

Set the foreground color on #aea067,
background on #fdf7c3.
Lock the foreground color.
Change the background color to gradient:
Style - Linear
Angle - 90,
Repeats - 1,

Invert - unchecked.

Activate the Preset Shapes - Rounded Rectangle:

Anti-alias - checked
Create as Vector - checked
Retain Style - not checked
Width - 1.00

Draw a candle.



Convert the Vector layer to Rastor layer in the Layers Palette.
Duplicate the candle.
Layers --> Arrange --> Move down.
Drag it  next to the other candle and a little bit up.
Duplicate the candle again.
Drag it somewhat to the bottom
It should not be on the same level.



Activate the Eraser Tool: size - 12, hardness - 25
Activate one of the candle layers.
Erase the bottom of the candle to look as though it is
embedded in the snow.



Do the same with the other candles.
Lock the bottom layer
and merge the candle layers visible.

Unlock the bottom layer again.



Step 8

Activate the bottom layer !!!
Change the foreground color to white.
Activate the Pen Tool:



Keep the Shift-key pressed down while drawing
a candlewick on each candle.



Change the background color to a gold pattern.

Add your name and place it on the center ball.
Eduardian Script font was used in the example above.

Merge all layers.



Step 9

Let the candlewicks burn :))

Open Animation Shop (AS) and minimize.
 

Back to PSP.

Activate the SelectionTool -->
Freehand:

Mode - Add
Feather - 2
Draw small round shapes around the candlewicks
(keep the Shift-key pressed down while doing each candle)


Filter Effects --> Eye Candy 4000 --> Fire


Deselect.
Edit --> Copy.

Open AS and paste as a new animation (CTRL +V)


Back in PSP:
Undo the last two actions by pressing CTRL+Z
on your keyboard twice.
The marching ants should now be around the candlewicks again.


Effects -->Filter --> Eyecandy 4000 --> Fire.
Change the Movement option now to 74.
Deselect.
Edit --> Copy.

Open AS again.
Edit --> Paste behind current frame.

Back to PSP.
Repeat the same 2 undo actions as before

and make sure the marching ants are around the candlewicks.
Eyecandy 4000 --> Fire
Movent on 91.
Deselect.

Edit --> Copy.

Open AS.

Edit --> Paste behind current (second) frame.

Select all frames in AS (CTRL +A)
Press ALT + Enter on your keyboard to open the
Frame properties window.
Change the property to 20.
Save your animation by running it through the Animation Wizard.

Save as a GIF and you're finished!! :-))
