Description:Benjamin is the stereotypical Legendary Hero type guy, whose home village is destroyed within the first scene. He has a good sense of humor, and is trusting enough to take advice from a strange, flying old man.

Description:Even in mostly non-cliched RPG's, there are usually two or three types of girls: the excitable, humorous, immature type; the beautiful, maidenly, prissy, "Save me Mario!" type; and the quiet, brave yet unassuming, childhood-friend-of-the-hero type girl. And while it's true that Kaeli is more of a childhood friend TYPE than Phoebe, she fits into the prissy category rather well. She doesn't have much personality, seeing as she's poisoned most of the game, but she seems to have a strong sense of family, some bravery, and a care for nature. But really, Kaeli's not all that deep, I don't know how her profile ended up this long. I mean, she talks to trees for God's sake!

Description:Since every game has the obligatory ninja/loner/treasure hunter, Tristam is there. He shows up at random intervals and can never remember the hero's name, but outside that he really has no personality.

Description:When you first encounter Phoebe, she is basically devastated because her entire village is frozen and dying, her grandpa is trapped underneath the house, the Water Crystal has been drained of its powers, and the world is about to end forever. Come on, Phoebe! That's nothing to be upset about! Once she comes with you, she's pretty take-charge and ambitious. Of course, just about every single person in the game (excluding Tristam) is more ambitious than the hero. In fact, there's one instance inside Spencer's Place where Phoebe is way more ambitious than she should be....

Description:Reuben is by far the coolest character in the game. He has the best weapon (REALLY strong!) and though he's not much for magic, he's just...better than the others. Unfortunately, once you liberate the Fire Crystal from the Hydra, he makes the mistake of falling off the Rope Bridge. You'd think that a fairly physical guy like Reuben wouldn't be stopped by such a thing, but alas...Reuben remains bedridden until the ending.
