In the good old days of the 'eighties, Glasgow often saw delivery flights by aircraft such as the Aviocar. Many Central and South American air forces these useful utility aircraft, but few looked as attractive as these Mexican Navy examples. See below for a ramp shot (such shots being easily arranged in those days) of one of the ten aircraft which passed through in two batches of five.
This Pyramid F27 made some attractive prop-wash spirals as it took off from Prestwick one humid summer morning. One of the many interesting ferry flights to pass through Glasgow's two main airports, sadly such visitors are now increasingly rare.
