Long before Condor took delivery of this aircraft Boeing carried out tail-wind landing trials at Glasgow . It made over 50 such landings before ATC lost patience and told it to go away.          In the original slide, the word 'experimental 'can clearly be seen beside the flightdeck windows

The pilot of this Boeing 767-300 of Spanish charter airline Spanair was obviously determined to put it down on the numbers at the end of the short hop to Glasgow from Newcastle. Perhaps there was a bit of windshear that morning, but he certainly took off for Orlando with a lot less rubber on his main gear after that teeth rattling touchdown!
