Subject: Okay, guess where I am now... |

That's right, I'm back in Canada, and it's great to be back. I did not return to the pyramids to venture inside. Kind of disappointing, but that will be just one of the many things that will bring me back. Someone said, I would either love it or hate it, and I would have to admit to the previous. I loved it. |

There were too many things missed on this trip, as there were too many sites to try to squeeze into two weeks. I believe another trip is in order, but that may be several years down the road. For now, I am content with the memories of all the sites, and all the people that I have met, plus the 16 rolls of film that I submitted for processing today. (I just got the call, and they're ready for pickup...WOO HOO!!!) |

I would like to thank Lorra and Marcy, for their hospitality and invaluable wisdom on all things Cairene. They were both great in taking this rookie "Lonely Planet Traveller" wannabe and showing me sites that most tourists would have missed. Thanks for the "Metro" lesson, Egyptian Pool at the Rugby Club, letting me "nap" at your friend's birthday party, the cab rides from hell, chinese food, falucca rides, and basically for letting me intrude on your regularly scheduled programs. You guys didn't have to show me around but you did anyways, and I appreciate it. Thank you, thank you and thank you!!! (Okay, enough of this mushy crap!!!) |

The plane ride back was uneventful, except I got seated next to some kid who kept falling asleep on my shoulder. I had to keep waking her up!!! Why can't I ever find a damn flight that lets me sleep? Food was crap, and I could see into the business class section where they drank and dined on the fabulous morsels that I had experienced just two weeks previous. How I envy them now!!! |

Okay, life for me returns back to normal (well as normal as it can be) and the updates end now, as I will not be responsible for putting you all to sleep, and causing the slowdown of the North American economy. So you will have to be content with periodically checking out the website once in a while. I have not updated it yet, but it will probably be refreshed by this weekend, with some pictures of the trip, insha'allah. (God-willing) |

Thanks everybody for coming along on the trip, and oh yeah, I brought you back something.... |
