Rangers are
confident they will complete the signing of
Feyenoord defender Konterman on Monday.
David Murray has
held further negotiations with the Dutch club and
the deal is 99% finalised.
The 29-year-old
has still to agree personal terms but the Ibrox
chief does not envisage any problems.
Murray said:
"The deal is 99% done but we are tied up on
a small point with Feyenoord and there is still
some paper work to be tidied up.
"It has
been difficult to hold regular discussions
bearing in mind that he is training with Holland,
but we have been dealing with his
representatives.
"We can at
least meet him so we will do that and we have
already met with the president of Feyenoord and
all being well it will go through on
Monday."
Konterman is set
to be followed in through the Ibrox doors by
Scotland international and former Hearts defender
Ritchie.
Bolton, who
missed out on promotion to the English
Premiership, had hoped to keep the player but
Ritchie has set his heart on a move to Rangers.
The Rangers
chief will hold negotiations with his agent Jim
McArthur and it is certain that Ritchie will be
on his way when his contract with Bolton expires
on June 30.
Murray said:
"We will talk with his agent next week and
Paul will join the discussions later."
