Academic / Research Projects

Research Project:-

§       Thesis project on study of touch-screen interface usability issues and provide effective solutions. A touch screen based information system was designed for IIT Kanpur to locate various places in the academic campus.

 

Industrial Design Products:-

§       Designed an aortic tube with sinus for an artificial human heart valve, in collaboration with AIIMS Delhi and IIT Kanpur. Major processes involved are: Reverse engineering, optical scanning of actual human heart valve, 3d modeling, surface modeling and rapid prototyping.

§       Worked on electronics and embedded systems to develop an Intelligent Car Wiper System. Major processes involved are: Study of various arm movement mechanisms, implementation of microcontrollers to control the wiper movement.

§       Designed a dustbin for children, which can motivate them towards proper disposal of garbage. Major processes involved are: Study of child psychology, study of shapes and forms, manufacturing processes.

 

Multimedia & Web Design:-

§      Worked on a digital catalogue for Crompton Greaves products. This product was developed by Emantras Creative Solutions Chennai India, for the complete product range of Crompton Greaves using Flash MX.

§      Worked on a digital manual for a Mobile X-Ray Machine by Siemens. This product was developed by Emantras Creative Solutions Chennai India, using Flash MX 2004.

 

Advertising:-

§      A short advertisement to promote the culture, heritage and famous perfume industry of Kannauj, a city in India

 

Software Development-

§      Automatic Railway Announcement Systems. Development tools include: Visual Basic 6.0 and Oracle 8.0 database.

§      Interactive Voice Response System for PSTN Network. Development tools include: Visual Basic 6.0 and SQL Server.

§       General Accounting Tool for VSNL Employees’ Association, New Delhi. Development tools include: Visual Basic 6.0 and Oracle 8.0 database.
