Tech revolution is a holiday player.(GIFT GUIDE)

…2 systems.

Price: $249.99

Gift group: Tiger Woods wannabes.

Santa's scoop: Electric Spin offers golfers with their own set of clubs the chance to virtually play 18 holes as they hit a tethered, regulation size and weight golf ball through dozens of virtual courses. A pad loaded with optical sensors delivers the magic and is used by the player to tee up the ball on about two feet of green backed up against a framed net. The device then is attached to a USB computer port or PlayStation 2 console ($59 adapter required) and becomes a finely tuned controller to realistically simulate and translate a golf swing. Golfers use a full version of Electronic Arts' Tiger Woods PGA Tour software (versions 2003 to 2006 are compatible) to bring their game to life. Golf Launchpad offers a real and fantastic-looking workout so the links lover never has to leave his home - as long as he hits in rooms with an 8-foot-high ceiling and views results on a big-screen television.

…hit by Robert Mathis.

Indy recovered, but fumbled it right back to the Bears on the very next play. This one appeared to be caused more Chicago end Alex Brown than the weather - he swept into the backfield to hit Joseph Addai right as the Colts running back was taking the handoff. Mark Anderson recovered for the Bears.

Peyton Manning threw a pick on Indy's first possession, and Chicago's Cedric Benson fumbled late in the period when diminutive Colts safety Bob Sanders made a textbook helmet-on-ball hit.

Wonder how long this game of "hot potato" will go on? The weather radar shows no sign of the rain letting up, so the team that takes better care of the ball in the mucky conditions will probably be hoisting the Lombardi Trophy when it's over.

6:54 p.m. EST: MIAMI - Good news for all those betters who took "under" on those national anthem wagers - Billy Joel zipped through "The Star-Spangled Banne r" in a brisk 1 minute, 39 seconds (according to my watch).

The over-under on the national anthem's length was 1:44 - one of about 10 million things offered up for bets at the Super Bowl.

Here's one that probably got a little more action. Devin Hester, who set an NFL record with six touchdown returns this season, was a 30-to-1 choice to score the first TD. He did just that, returning the opening kickoff…

…clever new take on the five-door urban subcompact, with style and flair to match its efficiency and utility," said Mark Templin, Scion vice president. "The xD's aggressive styling is wrapped in a small, agile package, while its interior offers impressive details and a spacious cabin."

New Scion Style

The xD's futuristic exterior characterizes it as a Scion with its simple surfaces and sharp lines that flow from front to rear. Its urban personality is communicated by its wide stance, thick muscular body, accentuated wheel flares and large tires. Other styling cues that set the xD apart include a long and narrow back window, and the Scion family traits -- horizontal headlamps, an integrated rectangular lower and upper grille, and turn signals built into the side mirrors.

Good Handling

Engineers designed the xD with a short, wide frame in mind for better handling and comfort. In addition, the xD features an L-arm type MacPherson strut in the front and torsion beam suspension in the rear for increased stability and a pleasing ride.

The xD's powerful stance sits on 16-inch steel wheels and 195/60 R16 tires. Customers will be able to choose from three all-new standard wheel covers which will also be shared with the all-new xB. …
