A pad loaded with optical sensors delivers the magic and is used by the player to tee up the ball on about two feet of green backed up against a framed net. The device then is attached to a USB computer port or PlayStation 2 console ($59 adapter required) and becomes a finely tuned controller to realistically simulate and translate a golf swing. Golfers use a full version of Electronic Arts' Tiger Woods PGA Tour software (versions 2003 to 2006 are compatible) to bring their game to life.
