Jonel Linder's family

Home

My family is a very unique one at that. My mother and father where never married and the passed away just weeks apart from each other. I then moved to Minnesota with my uncle Claude and his wife Betty. Now they had a youngest daughter named Valerie she is 4 years older than I am.

Claude: This uncle of mine is the second oldest of the 4 children of my Grandparents. He worked his whole life farming or working in the field of farming. I believe that he retired from working in a grain elevator a few years back. Claude has very firm beliefs in hard work and honesty. These are admirable traits to have, however as a 7- 11 year old it really stinks. I don’t think anybody really likes chores growing up. I do have to give him credit for instilling in me with a good work ethic.

Betty: This is the woman that my uncle decided to marry. There is not very much I can say well about this woman.

Valerie: This would be there youngest daughter and a very book smart individual. Being there youngest daughter I would have to say that she was a spoiled little brat. She and I did have a lot of fun making tree forts together and making up wild adventures. I will never forget the time she was trying to show off to my best friend Josh. He and I where playing around with the four wheeler and she decided that she knew how to drive it. She drove straight into my truck and flipped it over backwards. Josh and I laughed so hard. To regain her self esteem she decided to saddle up the horse and take her out. The horse took her right down to the river and bucked her off in it. As far as I am concerned she deserved ever little bit of humiliation.

After my time was up there I moved to McClusky with my Aunt and Uncle Floyd and Donna Murray. They have a big family also so I had a lot of people to learn from.

Donna: She would be the oldest of my Grandparents children. She raised me up until I graduated from High School. Donna is a wonderful woman with a heart of gold and a tolerance that is unsurpassed by anyone. She is all most always bubbly but what ever you do don’t get on her bad side. She definitely knows how to get her point across in a good way, but you will not forget it.

Floyd: This would be the man that married my Aunt Donna. This guy is the hardest working man you would ever meet. He has this unique ability to know how to understand and fix anything. He once built a vehicle out of a 56 Chevy in the middle of the winter. This thing was a snowmobile long before there even was such a thing. He used old tractor tires bolted together as tracks. He got the idea from the tanks when he was in the Army. To steer he rigged up a break system so you can break one side or the other. It was pure genius.

John: This is one of the few people that I looked up to during adolesence. He inspired me to work and build cars. He is also quite the daredevil. He once jumped an 8 foot ramp with an old beater of a car. I had also helped him build a couple derby cars.

Grandma Linder: This woman is a saint. I honestly believe that she never sinned a day in her life. She lived to be 96 years old. She is the one person I owe everything to in my life.

This is my Family and I would never give it up for anything or anyone.
