I met her from the audition. She auditioned by herself. At the beginning of that time, she really showed her qualities as a model. I thought she could express herself. If she was chosen, "She would portray Ayu perfectly." I sensed she could do it. "I was hanging out at Shibuya back in my high school days when I was scouted to be a model for a magazine," she said. And she also wished to share her abilities. I felt that she would be able to perform it well. She will be able to fulfill the role. I think the part of Ayu will be performed perfectly.

FURUYA KEITA as Yoshiyuki

Part of the popular HIPHOP teen group Lead.
His look releases a certain brightness that charms people.
Appeared in 2003's "Boutaoshi!" and will be appearing on 2004's Kamachi.

Why he was selected (From Yoshi)
I first saw him in Lead's movie Boutaoshi! I saw his beautiful eyes. "Only he possessed Yoshiki's eyes," I thought. So I went to meet him. Again, I saw his beautiful eyes. "I want you to take on the role of Yoshiyuki," I asked him frankly. And it was decided later on that he will portray the role. He was also 15 like Yoshiyuki. If it is him, I think that the part of the role of Yoshiyuki is surely to be performed perfectly splendidly

KURUDA ARTHUR as Ma
Born on 1961.02.01 / From San Francisco
Known for his handsome features on stage, television, and the likes.
In this movie, he will play the role of the pub manager Ma.
He was also seen in episodes 3 & 4 of TV Asahi's Trick.

Why he was selected (From Yoshi)
Kuruda san has read Deep Love before. He remembered that it left something in his heart. Since it is a work with such intensity this time, he told me he would very much want to participate on it.

TAKENAKA NAOTO
From Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa / Graduate of Tama Art University
After graduating from the graphic design department, he joined a theatrical company from 1980 to 1990. In 1983, he debuted at the ANB TV station. He is talented. An actor, a film director, a singer, even a radio personality. In 1998, he won the Best Actor award for the 21st Nippon Academy-sho.

Meeting with Takenaka san (From Yoshi)
In making this movie, I thought that I wanted Mr. Takenaka who is a very respectful figure to be part of it. Takenaka san felt that it will be a really good movie that everybody will love. It would be one of those that has a significance to it forever. An indies kind of movie. Takenaka san was asked to read the original novel. "Please help me in this movie," I asked. And he agreed to help me in this movie. I'm really grateful that he decided to take part with me together in this movie.
