Hon. Rey  T. Uy holds the Green Banner Award which the City of Tagum won for being the Regional Most Outstanding Nutrition Implementor.  The search involved a comprehensive evaluation which took into account the intervention program implemented by the city, the budgetary allocation, food production, and livelihood activities including the active involvement of the non- government organizations and the barangays in the implementation of the program.

Beside the mayor is  the Most Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar of Region XI, Ms. Ruby Junio of Barangay Madaum, Tagum City. She has been cited for her outstanding performance in the implementation of the five – impact programs of the nutrition program: the micro- nutrient supplementation, food fortification, community food production, credit assistance for livelihood & food  assistance program (feeding).
