This is my wireless microphone setup.

The system is a Shure UT series UHF wireless system. UHF is better than VHF for wireless systems because you don't get interference from other microphones, or passing semi trucks. That's nice when you are playing outdoor festivals where you might run into those problems!

The Presenter Is the same transmitter and reciever I needed. I upgraded the microphone to the Shure WM 98. That is the horn mike they make.

This is a picture of the reciever unit. I have it mounted in a rack case to protect it from damage. The reciever is pretty small. I think It sounds great.

When we went to the Sting concert on Dec. 7 the trumpet player used this type of wireless system. I really liked the design of the clip so I deciced to make my own. It doesn't look exactly like this does., but it'll work just fine.

Notice where the clip mounts to the trumpet. I mounted mine to the other side for comfort.

Here is a close up shot of the bits.

2. My new home made clip
3. The wireless transmitter
4. The Shure WM 98 microphone
5. Two rubber bits to keep my trumpet from being scratched.

This is how it mounts to the trumpet. The clip is made from an aluminum tube that I bent. Next I cut a channel for the cord to be inserted ito the tube. Then I inserted a curved wire coat hanger for added rigidity. then I squeezed the channel shut and wrapped the whole thing in black tape.

Here are some shots of the finished product.
