G-Funk News

October 9th, 2001
Warren G is slated to release his upcoming album "Return of the Regulator" on November 27th on Universal Records. Check out his new official website at Warren G Online. G Dub reports he did 85% of the production and you will see a track by Dre and a track by Soopafly. His new single "Lookin' At You" should be getting radio play soon.
Nate Dogg is set to drop his new solo album in November as well. Its titled "Music & Me" and his new single "I Got Love" can be found on promo singles if you're looking for it.
I'm going to be going through some organizational work on the page since Geocities keeps informing me that my web traffic is too high. So the main page will be a bit smaller from now on. Also I'll try to update the page some, since I haven't fucked with it in months.

May 14th
Warren G has signed to Universal Records and will be working on an album that will include production from himself, Scott Storch, Jay-E, Dr. Dre, and Battlecat. Guest artists will include Dr. Dre, George Clinton, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Nate Dogg, Butch Cassidy, Daz and Kurupt.
GO TO NEB LUV ONLINE and support Da 5 Footaz while they're having issues with their label. You will be able to purchase their new album Lifetime through the website. You can also get info on Neb Luv who's been putting in a lot of work on her own solo material. Check it out.
I hear that Nate Dogg has signed a new contract with Elektra so he should be releasing some new material. Its about damn time we hear something new from artists other than Dre, Snoop and Eminem!

March 18th
Bad Azz's album has been pushed back to May 29th. Check out his website atBadazz.net.

January 21st, 2001
http://www.dpgc2000.net/ reports that Warren G is working on what will be his last solo album of his career. He's tapping artists from his own stable and acts such as George Clinton. Since G-Dub started Flawless Entertainment we haven't heard much from him so expect some new production from him to be on some upcoming albums. Unfortunately he didn't appear on Snoop's new album "Tha Last Meal" which dropped recently.
Da 5 Footaz has changed their album title to "Lifetime" and it will be released March 6, 2001. Pick it up when it drops, there's a lot of tight tracks on there. Also, Neb Luv is looking for a label to sign her. Hopefully she'll be signed and drop an album this year. That would be extra tight if Da 5 Footaz make it big.
Bad Azz's album has been pushed back once again to March 27th I believe. Bad Azz is tight, so you'll wanna pick that album up too. Hopefully he gets enough exposure to give him some good album sales.
G-Funk Records is kinda in the realm of the unknown right now. I'm gonna see what info I can dig up. They're still a company but I doubt they will be in a while. Restless Records doesn't know all that much about black music apparently and thats one reason for the non-exposure and shitty promoting of G-Funk albums. Anybody notice the mis-spelling of Xzibit in the Sourch about 4 or 5 months ago in the 5 Footaz ad?
In totally unrelated news, I've started my MP3.com site up and added a track. I'm currently working on an album and some production for my crew who will be releasing another album this summer. My crew currently has two CDs recorded and now they're only available on CD-R. They're $5 each and that includes shipping and handling, plus the CDs come with cover and inlay card. You'll agree that you'd think its professional if the CD wasn't a CD-R. So check out C-Foe's MP3.com site and my crew Soulz of Kaos. If you want any info on the CDs, hit me up wdilly@umail.ucsb.edu

December 1st
For those of you who are wondering what happened to the Shade Sheist CD that was supposed to be out in October, his solo CD doesn't come out for a while. The CD you're looking for is called "Damizza Presents... Where I Wanna Be" and can be picked up at Best Buy and all music stores. It features 12 songs and one is produced by Warren G.
November 8th, 2000
Sorry about the lack of updates but honestly nothing has been going on in the world of G-Funk. The Up In Smoke Tour ended and I got a pretty dope clock from it, and Jessica has dropped, but other than that not much has happened.
I do have some good news though.. I heard that Warren G was talking about an upcoming album on Snoop's radio show. And we can look forward to a new 5 Footaz album in January. I've seen copies of a single called "The Heist Part II" on eBay in vinyl but thats all I've heard recently. Also, all those other tracklistings people are posting are bullshit. Rick James isn't going to be on the album and the song with The Outlawz is getting pulled off the album. I can tell you to look forward to hits such as Smashing, Too Hot, and Unleash featuring Xzibit which are off the hook. Another favorite of mine is Blow My Mind.

I'm still selling official bootlegs of Da 5 Footaz first album "Da Lost Scrolls". Peep the tracklisting...

September 1st
Jessica's album "You Can't Resist" hit the streets August 22nd. I'll tell you straight out, I don't think Warren G had anything to do with the project. The album lists no executive producer and almost all of the tracks were produced by Keith Andes. Overall its a decent album, but I didn't hear any real standout tracks that topped the rest. Its mostly an album you could bump at a party and dance to, its not G-Funked out.
In other news, rumors are true, Warren G has left Restless Records. I believe he is still affiliated with G-Funk Music which is still on the label, but he's started his own thang called Flawless Entertainment. His first release was a remix to Before Dark's "Monica".
You want a copy of Da 5 Footaz unreleased first album??? I hooked up with Neb Love and we're selling CD-Rs for $10 plus shipping. Shipping in the US is $2 and worldwide shipping is $5. E-mail me for the address.

August 24th
Sorry about the delay. I've been waiting on some shit to happen before I start selling Da 5 Footaz CDs. This is the tracklisting for The Lost Scrolls/Worldwide

If you wanna be down and buy a copy, I'm going to sell CD-Rs with tracklistings and Neb is working on a cover for the project. The price is $10 + $2 shipping. So the total comes out to $12. E-Mail me for more information and I'll hit you back with an address to send the money to.Since I don't want to deal with bouncing checks and shit, I'm going to accept cash and money orders only. Later I'll be accepting Pay Pal but I have to get in touch with Neb Love to set that up.

On August 22nd, Jessica's debut "You Can't Resist" hit the streets. Its getting really shitty distribution and almost no radio play which is a shame because she has a bomb ass voice. I'm gonna pick it up on Friday and I suggest y'all find your local cheap place to buy CDs and get a copy. If you can help it, don't pay 18 dollars at The Wherehouse for a copy when you can buy it for 13 or 14 at CDNow or Best Buy.

August 11th
Jessica has an ad in the VIBE magazine for this month. Look to see her album drop on August 22nd!! "You Can't Resist" Come on y'all and pick it up and support her, she's got a bomb voice but she's getting no love from the radio.

August 10th
It appears that I will have the 5 Footaz CDs by the end of this week and will probably start selling them next week. Look for an update about the CDs and an ordering page which will give you the instructions for purchasing any of the CDs. Also, I'm going to be adding the merchandise page soon which is a collection of links to places where you can buy Warren G/G-Funk CDs, T-Shirts, Posters and other goodies.
Go to The new FoeGround at www.foesum.com. They've posted some new tracks from their upcoming album "The FoeFathers" which is going to be available only on the web.

August 8th
Check out this exclusive by Mr. Malik titled "Hennessee". Its from his 1995 unreleased album on Arista Records. By the way, check back tomorrow for some news on Da 5 Footaz CDs.

July 26th
Recently Neb Luv of Da 5 Footaz got at me and gave me some information about Da 5 Footaz. Their upcoming album titled "5 Reasons" will be out in the Fall of this year. Their first single has yet to be titled, but the album is done. The group now consists of Jah Skills, Neb Luv, Knehi, KBar, and Cobra Red. Pinky left the group to go solo but she's still down. Also, Da 5 Footaz have a song on the Reverend DoWrong Ain't Right soundtrack with AK, Yo Yo and Jewell titled "Movin' On". I'm trying to get a copy. Check out Cobra Red with Q-Tip doing freestyles on Lyricist's Lounge on MTV. Besides all this good news, the bomb shit is that I might be selling copies of Da 5 Footaz lost first album, previously titled "Worldwide" and now titled "The Lost Scrolls". I will also be selling copies of Neb Luv's new compilation called "Neb Luv's Bubblin Unda" which is on Goodvibe. I'll let you know more as I find out more. I may also help design Da 5 Footaz new website. Look for Restless to launch a website for this tight female group in the near future.
I finally did the new format. I'm going to be filling in the gaps in the next few weeks. So look for improvements fairly often and keep checking back for more 411.

July 4th
There hasn't been too much going on in the G-Funk world since the Up In Smoke Tour started. Nate Dogg was arrested last week though, last I knew he was being held at 1 million dollars bail because of what he did after him and his girlfriend of 7 years broke up. If anybody has heard anything more e-mail me. The Havin Thangs promo single has been distributed although I'm not sure if it will be released to the public as a single. I updated the Singles page with the Havin Thangs promo and a couple other things. Also the Links page is up. I'm still trying to get my computer and shit set up at home and until that happens, I'm probably not going to do any huge updates like I want to. Sorry y'all.

June 18th
I've got a G-Funk EXCLUSIVE for ya ears!! A lot of people have been asking about Da 5 Footaz recently and now I can finally give you something new. Check out the title track from Da 5 Footaz upcoming album "5 Reasons" which was produced by Sean Banks, Osei Moreland and Myles Barber for Goodlife Entertainment.
There's a new Havin' Thangs remix floating around because I heard it on the radio last night, I'm gonna try to record it next time I hear it. Also, this week I'm getting two copies of the Havin Thangs single, we'll see if it hits the streets soon. Lastly, since I'm out of school for the summer I'm going to have more time for the page. Look for more updates soon.

June 11th
Sorry about the lack of updates, there hasn't been a whole lot of news thrown my way. In about a week I'm going to put up some new songs from the upcoming 5 Footaz album and Jessica's album, so look for that.
Check out the tour dates for the "Up In Smoke Tour" which includes Warren G, Snoop, Dre, Eminem, Xzibit, Tha Eastsidaz and some others.

May 22nd
Big Momma's House soundtrack hits the streets Tuesday the 30th featuring Jessica's single "Get Up" from her upcoming album titled "You Can't Resist" and some production by Warren G on a track or two of the soundtrack. Look for JD, Nas, Kurupt and others to be on the soundtrack.

May 9th
EXCLUSIVE!!! In Los Angeles, Eminem's new song Bitch Please 2 featuring Snoop, Dre, Nate Dogg, and Xzibit has been getting a ton of airplay. Well, I got it for y'all to peep.

May 8th
I got an exclusive for y'all today! Check out "The Grind" by TQ featuring Warren G which will most likely be on TQ's new album "Second Coming" which is due out in the next month. Props to Jaay for getting the track. I believe its produced by Warren G.
I also want everybody to go to The Official Foesum Website. They finally got their own domain up and it should be there to stay. Check out the 2 Foesum exclusives they have up.
Jessica will be releasing her first single "Get Up" on the Big Momma's House soundtrack and Warren G will also be producing another song on the soundtrack. Da 5 Footaz are a step closer to releasing their debut album which will feature guests such as Kurupt, Xzibit, The Outlaws, Warren G and others. you can probably look for that Warren G, Kurupt and 5 Footaz song "Smashing" on the album.

May 2nd
It appears Jessica may have a song on the upcoming soundtrack "Big Momma's House" which is due out May 30th. The song is titled "Get Up", I'll keep ya posted.
I also found out that Kurupt and Snoop Dogg have a new single out called "Story To Tell" which is going to be released on the "Xchange" soundtrack which is due out May 23rd. The soundtrack also features Daz and The Outlaws among others.

April 30th
I'm slowly revamping my page from the inside out. Check out the updated version of the singles page which isn't quite yet completed, I still have to add thumbnails of all the album covers.

April 27th
I got an interesting bit of news today from Jaay about Da 5 Footaz' album and Mista Grimm's album. It appears that because of problems with Warren G, Da 5 Footaz and Def Jam, Worldwide was printed and ready to go for stores but never actually hit shelves. It looks quite doubtful that we'll ever get a copy. Mista Grimm's album is just a very very limited release. So we all gotta find someone who has it. If anyone knows anything about either of these albums, E-Mail me.

April 25th
I'd like to thank you all for helping me get up to 100,000 hits in the last year!!! As a way of saying thanks, I added an audio page and an exclusive!! I dug up some remixes that nobody has ever heard. Check out the Nobody Does It Better (Crossover 7inch Remix). I got this off an import single which has 4 remixes on it. And check out the G-Funk Audio page which will stay current with all the real audio I post.
All of you who still want the "Game Don't Wait (Remix)" promo single, I have one up for sale again on eBay. This is the last one I'll have for sale unless I find another one. The auction ends on Thursday at 11:30 so bid while you can.

April 15th
I apologize for the lack of updates. I had Spring Break and then became overwhelmed by the workload for school this quarter. I got an exclusive for y'all though.
I'd like to thank GoodVibe Recordings for being so cool as a small label and hooking me up with their sampler. As I reported before, Neb Love is coming out with a compilation on Goodvibe Music really soon, so check out this cut by Neb Love featuring Spontaneous, ADS and Knvrs titled Bubblin(Remix). I'll hit y'all back later this week with some more G-Funk news.

March 23rd
I've been hearing that Da 5 Footaz are coming out with an album this summer and it will be titled "5 Reasons". Production will include 5 tracks by Warren G and some other producers will appear on the album. I'm gonna try to confirm this after Spring Break.

March 18th
After listening to the Untitled Warren G song again which is up at DR2K I have a feeling that its not a Warren G song. After all, all five of Da 5 Footaz appear in the song which is something I've only heard in The Heist. Jah Skills, Neb Love, Knee-Hi, K-Bar AND Pinky are all in the song with Warren G and Kurupt. Any chance we might see this on Da 5 Footaz album coming up this summer? Very possibly. In other good news, I might be recording the Dogghouse Radio show on Power 106 every weekend. If I can get the reception from school I can record it as wave and burn it to CD. I'll keep y'all posted on this one.

March 17th
Back in 1997, Warren G did a remix for the Bee Gees. Well.. after hearing about it 3 years ago, I finally got a copy. Its a special studio copy on vinyl and its probably one of a kind. I can definitely see why it was never released though. It basically has a new drum beat and some mixing and thats it. Its definitely a disappointment since its not even close to being good as the original, but its a nice little collectors item. I'll try to convert my records to mp3 sometime this summer so I can let people hear some of the rare shit I got on vinyl.

March 15th
The FoeGround is back online and should be completely up and running in the near future.
Do you want tight deals on CDs?? Go to CDNow and check out some of their prices. I'm gonna start linking CD covers to their spots on CDNow so they're easier to purchase. A get a lot of e-mails asking about where to get certain albums and such.
CDNOW

March 6th, 2000
According to a Snoop Dogg in a recent Vibe chat session, 213's album will be dropping later this year. We'll either see it on Dogghouse or G-Funk fo sho!

November 7th, 1999
Sorry for the absence of updates. I haven't been getting a hold of any G-Funk news lately. It is difficult though since I don't have a radio up here in college. I was informed of a new Warren G interview.

October 29th
I'm currently working on getting the Relax Ya Mind single and a different version of I Shot The Sheriff. Soon as I get it, I'll report on it. I also got the import version of "Take A Look.." in the mail last week. I'm gonna do some scanning and put more pictures up on the page. So look out for it. I just haven't had time lately. If you got any Warren G or G-Funk news, hit me up!

October 23rd
Warren G's new album has sold 55,000 units so far. It is 4th on the R&B album chart and 21st on the Billboard 200. Hopefully we'll see some higher album sales if Warren can push out another single.

October 17th
Go check out the newly updated Pictures page. I'm gonna add more soon.

October 16th
Check out this new page which lists G-Funk's album awards.

October 15th
Go buy the album!!! I added more lyrics today. Look for a huge section of Warren G pictures to go up sometime this month.

October 12th
I updated the "I Want It All" tracklisting. It appears that "We Can Groove" was pulled off the album. If anyone can get a hold of this track, GET AT ME.

October 10th
There's a gang of news comin out right now. The radio stations in L.A. are bumpin the new Kurupt single "Girls All Paws" and they also got a hold of the new Eastsiders single titled "G'd Up" which features Snoop Dogg. Also, The FoeGround put up all the tracks from the new Warren G album. Its pretty tight.. I'm gonna wait until Tuesday before I listen to all of the tracks. Pick the album up!!! Do it!!! Warren G's first single "I Want It All" hit gold this week. Thats good news considering how the second album sold. Maybe this will be an indication of how the album will sell.

October 8th
The DRK2 Webpage got ahold of one of the new Warren G joints that Power 106 has been playing. Its called World Wide Ryders with Da 5 Footaz and Kurupt. Go to their page to check it out. Right now I'm trying to get my hands on the I Want It All import (Which I believe has World Wide Ryders on it as well). Hopefully I'll have it before the end of the month.

October 6th
EXCLUSIVE!!!!!
DJ Glaze hooked me up with a snippit from their new album!! Peep "Hit A Lick" which will probably show up on their next album. Its hella tight too!!!

DJ Glaze told me that the Twinz are no longer working with Warren G. They're going to Snoop's new label. They will also be on the Eastsiders album when it drops eventually.

July 9th
Since I've been gone, there hasn't been a whole lot of information to be found. I discovered that DJ Rectangle has something by Warren G on his album Rollin Deep. He also has a freestyle on Vinyl Kombat but I've had that album for a while. ALSO, Tha G-Funk Family site reports that Warren G's new album "I Want It All" has a tentative September 28th release date. I haven't confirmed it yet, but that may be the wait for the next album.
Recently I've been finding a lot of Warren G remixes (Do You See Old Skool Remix, I Shot The Sheriff Everyday People Remix, This DJ Dobie Remix). If you've found any remixes that you think I might not have heard of, get at me by E-Mail

June 25th
I'm going on vacation until July 6th so there won't be any updates. I called Restless last week and they didn't have any current information on the Warren G album and told me to call back in a couple weeks. So we'll see. If you have any info, e-mail me and I'll get back to you when I get back from vacation. I picked up "DHP For Life" today which I reported included K-9 from "Back Up" and Legacy from 19th Street Records. It was bullshit, both cases it was rappers with the same name. I thought they copyrighted that shit!!! The album is down south crap, a few tight tracks but thats IT. ALSO, I heard the last 10 seconds of a new song that included Nate Dogg, it was something about "we always represent DPG..."

June 19th
An ad in The Source advertises a new Bad Azz album this year called "Personal Business". That was the album Bad Azz was talking about in that interview I posted a while back. Also, The G-Funk Family reports that the title track to Warren G's new album "I Want It All" was played on Power 106 out here in L.A. last week. I'll keep a look out, maybe I can get it on tape. It featured Mack 10. This week I'm gonna call Restless to see if I can get some info on the new Warren G album.

June 10th
The soundtrack for "Reverend DoWrong Ain't Right" should be coming out sometime soon. It was slated for an April release with the movie going to video in May. This soundtrack will feature Mack 10, Scarface, Da 5 Footaz, Kurupt, Too Short, Cali All-Stars, and Kool and the Gang. June 6th
I'd like to announce (contrary to what my counter says) that Link Exchange shows that I've gotten 24,600 hits since June 25th of last year. And that count is still growing!! Thanks for the love!! Now, I'm gonna figure out how to get my counter to read better. ;)

June 2nd
I heard the new Shanice remix with Warren G. It definitely wasn't produced by G-Dub but its okay. I'm not feelin it a whole lot though.
It appears that there was an Old Skool remix of Warren G's "Do You See", if you have any info, or have it, e-mail me.
Tha G-Funk Family site reports that Warren G will be on The WhoRidas second album "High Times". There hasn't been much G-Funk news comin out lately. Pick up Reel Tight's new album "Back To The Real"!

May 22nd
Shanice has a remix out with Warren G on it. I'm hoping to tape it off 92.3 The Beat since it might not be released. Its supposed to be dope as hell and there are a TON of people requesting it. If I'm lucky enough to find it, I'll stick it up here.

May 17th
Reel Tight "Back To The Real" will come out tomorrow!!! I have a copy in my hands the night before. Its in the stores!! go pick it up!!! The tightest songs are "I'm So Sorry", "Sittin' In The Club", "I Lied", and "Lady". GET IT!!

May 15
Warren G's new album is now officially titled "I Want It All" and will be released after September on Restless Records. I'm gonna call Def Jam to see if Warren's contract was bought out so I'll get you some more info soon.
Snoop Dogg's new album "Top Dogg" was released last week. As usual I got it a day early. There's a few dope tracks but I felt that the production sounded like "Tha Doggfather". Its a little too poppy and corny for my taste. Reel Tight drops Tuesday the 18th!!! Everybody go and get it!! Its not all G-Funk but once again, there are NO bad songs, just like most of the G-Funk albums. Made Men is scheduled for a 7/27 release.

May 9th
The Ringmaster soundtrack came out March 23rd. There were no G-Funk songs on it at all. Disappointment.
Death Row's "The Chronic" dropped last Tuesday. Reel Tight is scheduled to drop May 18th, and Made Men should be coming up quick. We'll see if there's any G-Funk production on there. The Official Restless Records Website reports that they've signed Warren G as an artist. No word on whether they bought him out of his Def Jam contract or not. I've also increased my B-Sides Compilation to 3 CDs. I keep finding more and more to stick on the CD. Currently, I can convert MP3 to CDs and play them as regular CDs. If you have: Regulate Jamming Mix, Indo Smoke Party Mix, or Gang Bang on MP3 or otherwise, e-mail me!!!

April 15th
It turns out that the song that Warren G was talking about the other day was "Don't Tell" which included Nate Dogg, DJ Quik, and Mausberg. If anyone has any information.. e-mail me!!

April 14th
NEW NEWS FROM RESTLESS.. I called Restless today and the person I talked to said that Restless consisted of the alternative groups and G-Funk was made up of the rap and R&B groups. Guess what? They signed a new group called Made Men who is working on an album right now. If anybody has any info on this group e-mail me! She also told me that Reel Tight was scheduled for May 18th but that it was tentative. When I asked her about Warren G signing to Restless, she told me that she couldn't confirm or deny it, but she did say that the G-Funk label is run strictly by Wron G and Warren. Much thanks goes out to the Restless rep I talked to. They've been reel cool everytime I've called.
The Reel Tight single "I Want You (The Remixes)" dropped yesterday. Its got 3 remixes: Midnight Remix, Hip Hop Remix, and the Mello Mix. Also, today on 92.3 The Beat I caught the tail end of a conversation between Theo and Warren G where Warren G was talking about someone who didn't like the song that Quik, Snoop, Nate and him did "Don't Tell" and then he addressed the issue about rappers getting out of the hood. He was saying that the whole point is not trying to stay in the hood, but that he was trying to get the fuck out of the hood. I guess someone called him a sell out. At least we know that Warren is still actively gettin on the radio. If anyone heard this phone conversation, fill me in.

April 12
As I suspected, it turns out that The Long Beach Era was a hoax. But hold tight because Warren G will be dropping an album late this year or early 2000. I'm gonna call G-Funk to get the scoop. Reel Tight's single "I Want You" dropped a couple weeks ago and their Maxi single drops tomorrow. I'll be pickin it up quick. I gotta admit, Reel Tight's album is the bomb for R&B but its not curing my G-Funk addiction. Every song on the album is tight, but I wanna hear some dope new shit! I'll drop some new info about the upcoming G-Funk releases if I get the chance to call this week. Peace!

March 27
All of the Real Audio is now downloadable!! So far I haven't been able to get the Reel Tight single "I Want You" in stores so get at me if you've found it. Here's a couple of long awaited exclusives for all those 5 Footaz fans out there!!!! First there's "Organizin'" from the newly released "Organized Rhymes" compilation by The Union which features K-Bar and Neb Luv. Then there's some old school G-Funk off of the 5 Footaz album "Worldwide" titled "5 Foot City" which features Warren G. If you got any info on the 5 Footaz you'd like to get at me with, hit me up

Last Tuesday, the group I'm down with dropped their first album on 101st Airbourne Productions titled "Nutcases". It ain't G-Funk but if you're into more hardcore type shit like Brotha Lynch, Natas or some of that Eminem shit. E-mail Kurri Records and buy this muthafucka for $8 dollars!!

March 20
You may have been having problems with the Reel Tight real audio and if you did, that problem should be fixed. I had to use a .ram file.
The Official G-Funk Web Site was updated so look for it to be expanded soon. Restless said that they were gonna hook up my link so much love out to them. There hasn't been a whole lot of news lately. I haven't been able to find the new Reel Tight single in stores yet. I'll keep ya posted.

Here's a REEL TIGHT update from The G-Funk Webpage!!! First, peep out the Reel Tight cut featuring Warren G "Don't Wake Me" that I was lucky enough to see in concert back in December. Then, after that, check out Reel Tight's new single "I Want You" which will drop this Tuesday the 16th. Advance order it from CDNow and help support this page by buying it through this link.

Bad news about the Mista Grimm album. The internet site that had it listed screwed me over. I e-mailed them and gave them a week and a half to respond before I finally called to ensure that the CD was in stock. It turns out that they are wholesalers and fuck them for not making it known on their webpage. Past that, they don't even have the Mista Grimm CD. I'd like to know what the fuck kinda business is that!!
In other news, I posted some Reel Tight lyrics. On the next update I'm gonna put up "Don't Wake Me" featuring Warren G. Just an exclusive from The G-Funk Webpage. And another track, their new single "I Want You". Stay down!

I'd like to announce that over the last 8 months I've received 17,000+ hits. As a way of thankin y'all, I'm adding a new feature to my webpage. Artist of the Month!! The artist for this month will be Bad Azz since I been feelin his album so much lately. Its titled "Word On The Streets" and his new single dropped last week "Ghetto Star" so go pick it up!!. I also dug up a dope interview with Bad Azz that I found on a webpage.
Two Reel Tight updates, their next single "I Want You" is gonna hit stores on March 16th. Their album "Back To The Real" may have been pushed back to 4/13 and will include the Cam'ron Remix of "Do You Wanna Ride". The version I'm getting probably doesn't have this remix on it. I'll get both copies in the end anyways.
Also, after a LONG time, I finally got the Real Encoder. I'd like to thank Playa P for hookin me up with a copy even though it turned out that I couldn't get it to work. The first song I'd like to bring y'all comes from C-Style's 19th Street LBC Compilation. Its one of my favorites. Check out Success Before I Die. The quality will get better once I find a better way to record the songs. Next week... look for some cuts from the Reel Tight album which drops March 23rd!! I got an advance copy.

It looks like I've FINALLY found the Mista Grimm album. That means, I'll be able to share the Indo Smoke remix with the world. I've looked for this album for 2 damn years and I just finally found it. I'll keep you posted. Also, it looks like I'm gonna be able to get a pre-release copy of "Back To The Real" after all. I'm trying to find someone who knows where I can get the Real Audio encoder (not the G2 version) or who will send it to me. Cuz then, I got some shit y'all will want to hear!
Then, check out my B-Sides page to see where all the Warren G B-sides are at. If you have "Gang Bang"(promo) or the "Regulate Jamming Remix"(on Regulate single) send me an e-mail.

ANOTHER SOUNDTRACK APPEARANCE by Da 5 Footaz, who will be appearing on the soundtrack for "Reverend DoWrong Ain't Right". Other artists featured on the soundtrack include Kurupt, Mack 10, Scarface and Too Short. Look for the soundtrack in April. Also, Neb Luv was featured in a remix of "I Got Money" by d.b.a. Flip a while back but currently I don't know where to get that song. Flip released his album in 1996.

I was looking at the Restless Records webpage today and I noticed that they said G-Funk was going to release 3 albums a year. So thats good news for everyone out there who's diggin G-Funk. If you think about it, there's only been 4 G-Funk albums released that are worldwide, and even then, only 3 of them are pure G-Funk. The Dove Shack got their own thang. Releases in the next year... Warren G, Reel Tight, Jessica, Da Five Footaz, The Dove Shack (on Street Solid), and possibly the Twinz, as well as Foesum soon as they get what they deserve. Its on and poppin. If y'all can only wait that long!
You can pick up the Organized Rhymes compilation scheduled to drop March 9th at CDNow and if you order $19.99 or more, save 10 dollars at the same time on orders before Feb. 23rd.

The compilation "Organized Rhyme" which has a track by Da 5 Footaz is set to drop March 9th.
In this month's issue of The Source there was an ad by Def Jam with albums coming out in 1999 and Warren G was included. Also, there was a review for Reel Tight's "Back To The Real". I'll put it up later this week, but the Source didn't like the album a whole lot. They said its the same old R&B thats out there. I heard their new single "I Want You" and I can tell you its gonna blow up in the clubs. Its catchy.

Indo Smoke should work as well. The "Simply Irresistable" soundtrack came out today. When I opened up the booklet I couldn't believe what I saw. The song "That Old Black Magic" by Jessica is only 1:39 long. She's more of a Jazz singer. But I'll bet you money she's gonna sing the hook on a lot of the songs on Warren G's next album. Overall, the song isn't great but you gotta dig R&B and Jazz to feel it. Its pretty cool. Is Warren G diggin into a whole new market or is he bringing his Jazz feel to a whole new level?

As a result of my server dropping one of its services, this site will be moving in the next 3 months. Little by little I'll be moving it over to the new server which has an extra 5 megabytes of space. My site will never go offline though. Its just gonna get switched from pages.prodigy.com to pages.prodigy.net. Thanks and remember to update your bookmark when the move happens!
There's been a lot of news coming out the last couple days. Both Warren G albums "I Want It All" and "Long Beach Era" have been moved back until probably next year. For everyone wondering, I can probably explain it. Polygram, Def Jam, and a ton of surrounding labels are consolidating with Universal Music and there's gonna be a group of labels on the West Coast, and a group on the East Coast. There's probably around 12+ labels and distributors involved. The new label has been popularly dubbed Unigram but its causing artists to hold back material until the dust settles. All the labels are going to trim their rosters so expect a lot of artists to float around to new indie labels that will be starting. Also, Restless has official signed Da Five Footaz according to The G-Funk Family and they will have an album released this year. Another Restless signing is Jessica who is featured on a song in the Reel Tight album.
Reel Tight is officially scheduled for a March 23rd release date. Their second single will hit the airwaves this week.
I still haven't gotten around to calling Polygram about Da Five Footaz album. I'll get you some 411 when I get a chance.

Last night Da Five Footaz performed with Xzibit and Sons Of Funk at a club in L.A. which leads me to wonder who Da 5 Footaz are with. Not to mention the fact that they have nothing new that I'm aware of. If you have any info hit me up.
There's also rumors going around that both Warren G's new solo and Long Beach Era have been pushed back quite a while. I can't confirm or deny these rumors but I'll see if I can get some 411 from G-Funk.

There hasn't been much news floating around lately. I'm hearing that "Long Beach Era" is being pushed way back. I'm gonna call Restless to see what the deal is on Reel Tight. Maybe they'll actually send me a copy this time. Who knows.
I bought the movie "The Show" yesterday. I've already seen it but I bought it because of the 2 parts on G-Funk. Some of its funny and it includes 2 short freestyles. One by Jah Skills and the other by Neb-Luv & one of the Twinz.
The pictures all work now. Geocities is case sensitive.

Whats up with the lack of updates around other pages?? I mean I understand it being the holidays but thats when most people are home. Thats why I've kept bringing y'all as much info as I can.
I've given up on Restless as far as sending me the Reel Tight album. That was 3 and a half weeks ago so I'm just assuming they couldn't or wouldn't send it to me.
I finally got a hold of the Prince Igor single. So the song and the remixes will be on that compilation I'm making. Unfortunately I still don't have a CD recorder but watch out when I get to one. I think I'm gonna have to give a double CD away. Just some food for thought. Also, look for some new pictures soon.
Today, Christmas, a sewer pipe broke and flooded Pacific Coast Highway with a million gallons of water, flooding a few stores including legendary V.I.P. records. The store owner Kelvin Anderson says he's lost half of his stock to water damage.
From the same source I got my 5 Footaz info, Reel Tight's album "Back To The Real" will be released January 17th!!! Pick it up!!!

Da Five Footaz album "Worldwide" was released 2/25/1997. I just found this out through an online store. I'm gonna get in touch with Def Jam to get this. Wish me luck. I want this fuckin album bad!!
I called G-Funk Music today about the Warren G merchandise order form that was in "Take A Look Over Your Shoulder" cuz I was never able to order anything. The women I talked to there was real cool and told me that they filled as many orders as they could but that they didn't have anything now. She also said to check back at the beginning of 1999 because Warren G was going to be promoting his new album. I quickly asked what the title was gonna be and she said that he told her, but she had forgotten. Damn! Peace.

Check out this 15 minute Warren G concert clip from Summer Jam 97.
I have some happy news for some of the Warren G fans out there. If I get a scanner for Christmas I'm gonna put up a ton of G-Funk related pictures. I haven't updated the Pictures page in forever but it'll happen soon. I'm gonna put up some of the new booklet, some shit you haven't seen before. I'm even trying to get pictures from the concert I was at. They wouldn't allow cameras!
Tha G-Funk Family is reporting that Da Five Footaz will have a track on an upcoming compilation called "Organized Rhyme." If anyone has any 411 get at me!
Nothing new to report. I still haven't received the Reel Tight CD in the mail and I'm wondering whats the deal. I'll keep y'all posted.
To follow my 11 megabyte expansion of space, I added the L.B.C. music webpage. It features Dove Shack, Bad Azz, and 19th Street Records. Soon it'll get expanded but its gotta wait till I have time.
Look soon for a new page on the site with just LBC groups like 19th Street Records, Bad Azz and Swoop G. The Dove Shack will be moved there since they're no longer with G-Funk. This is all in an effort to make visiting my page a little easier on my visitors.

I finally picked up the "Fakin' Da Funk" soundtrack. I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. There are some tight tracks but I expected more. In the tracklisting it says the new Dove Shack album will be titled "Reality's Got Me Tied Up".

I called Restless and I was told that Reel Tight's album was already out. Maybe the person I talked to wasn't updated on the situation but once again I give a huge thanks to the people at Restless for hooking it up and sending me a copy. I should be seeing it sometime this week. If anyone has a registered version of Real Audio and wants me to put some shit up, send it to me and I'll put up a track or two. My page should be expanding with the addition of 2+MB space.
There hasn't been much news coming out of the G-Funk camps in the last week so I'll go fetch it. I'm gonna call Restless and Def Jam. Reel Tight should have a new release date. Come back tomorrow and hopefully you'll see it up here.
Last night I was up at Flava Fest. The concert was tight but it wasn't organized very well. The concert was supposed to start at 7:00 so I had a tape ready to record from 7 to 9. Unfortunately the concert didn't start until 9 and we didn't get in the door until then. It looks like I got nothing to put up here in real audio. Nate Dogg was the 10th performer of the night. He started off with a medley of All About You, and Ain't No Fun. Then he did "Just Another Day" and a bunch of his kids and friends were throwing singles out into the audience. They weren't Nobody Does It Better or Never Leave Me Alone. Look for a new Nate Dogg single soon. After "Just Another Day" he asked for the "These Days" beat and performed the first two verses of that and then "Never Leave Me Alone". Then Warren G busted on the stage. That totally hyped the crowd up. They performed Regulate and Nobody Does It Better together. Through this whole thing Nate Dogg kept sparking up a joint. No joke either, they were passing the weed through his entire set. Then Warren G did This DJ acapella for the crowd for he introduced Reel Tight. Reel Tight got no love on the first song. The crowd didn't respond at all when they tried to get us into it. They performed 3 tight ass songs. The second was (Do You) Wanna Ride, and the third featured a verse by Warren G. I was lucky enough to catch a couple advertisings that they threw out into the crowd but the concert was slim on souveniors. If anyone taped the concert with Nate Dogg and Warren G, email me!!

The Untouchable Death Row Records Web Site is reporting a new double album titled "Tha Long Beach Era" by Warren G and Snoop. It will be released on Warren's G-Funk Label. The album will include guest artists such as Nate Dogg, Mr. Malik, LBC Crew, Da Five Footaz, Soopafly, Twinz, TQ, and Ice Cube. Check it out in February, the first single will be "Still Comin At Ya" by Snoop, Warren G, and Nate Dogg. 213!! Wha What!!
Tomorrow is the Flava Fest concert, expect an update. I'm hoping to get some special shit at the concert.
Monday I was down in Long Beach for a choir festival. And damn, it was right down there in the hood. It was up at Long Beach Poly High School on 15th street. Actually, I'm planning to go to VIP in a few weeks when I'm gonna be down there anyways. If I find anything, I'll stick it up here as soon as my second server gets its act together.

Dove Shack have left G-Funk for Street Solid records. Their new album should be out in early 1999.
MTV is reporting that there will be a new Jerry Springer movie called "Ringmaster". Its scheduled to drop November 25th but the important news is that in March, the soundtrack is supposed to drop. It includes an untitled cut by Nate Dogg and a cut by Reel Tight. I'll hit you up if I hear anymore.

Reel Tight's single (Do You) Wanna Ride dropped Tuesday. Pick it up!!!!
Happy 27th Birthday Warren G!!!
Check out a new section for all the singles of the G-Funk family.
The Dove Shack are gonna have a track called "Low Low" on the upcoming soundtrack "Fakin Da Funk" due out the 17th. Tracks are also by Above The Law, Dayton Family, Snoop & Lifestyle Crew. Its supposed to be limited but I'm gonna hook it up and hopefully slip the Dove Shack tracks on my G-Funk compilation. Once again, if you can help me with the Prince Igor single, Regulate remix off the Regulate single, or Gang Bang on a CD-R we'll work something out. If you have "Gang Bang", e-mail me nevertheless. I'm still searching for it.
Go to the Untouchable Death Row website and check out IndoSmoke, Let Em Understand Perfection and a brand new Daz & Twinz tracks. Do it... NOW!
Reel Tight, TQ, Jon B, Warren G, and Nate Dogg are all appearing at the Flava Fest 98 out here in Cali on November 20th. I got my tickets so I'll get to see some shit by Reel Tight and I'll give you all the 411. Expect to see some special shit on this page after the concert. I'm gonna try to record some of the concert and get some promotional shit.
Reel Tight will have their single "(Do You) Wanna Ride" on the I Still Know What You Did Last Summer soundtrack. This is probably what caused the delay.

I've just become a member of the street promotions team at Dogg Foundation. So I should be getting some posters, and flyers and other shit in the future. In other news I heard there's gonna be a compilation coming out on Dogg Foundation in the next year. I'll keep y'all updated. Big props go to Scott at Dogg Foundation for hooking me up.
I heard Reel Tight's first single "(Do You) Wanna Ride) tonight. The vocals are extremely tight but the track is a little bit poppy for my taste. I'm sure the rest of the albm is gonna be supertight. Also, today on 92.3 The Beat and Q1047 I heard a new Pac song called "Change". Its pretty tight but includes parts of the verses from "I Wonder If Heaven Got A Ghetto". The beat is a remake of the old Bruce Hornsby song "Some Things Will Never Change" which E-40 did a remake of last year. I'll try to tape it and get up the real audio.
I picked up 6 of DJ Rectangle's CDs from Ultimate Sounds. They're alright, they did include a couple unreleased tracks and some G-Funk freestyles (Warren G, Dove Shack, Mr. Malik).
I've confirmed through Dogg Foundation records that Butch is gonna have an album released sometime soon. Butch has done some co-producing on Death Row and sang all over Nate's album.
I'm gonna see Warren G and Nate dogg perform!!! In Ventura County here in Cali, Q1047 is having Warren G & Nate Dogg put on a show for Flava Fest. The DJ told me that it would be the last time Warren G and Nate Dogg would be performing together. Whats up with that?!?!?!?!?! Tickets go on sale Monday the 2nd, and the show is the 20th. You can bet there'll be pictures of it on the webpage. Fo damn sho!!!
I happened to run into the Eastside LB single on tape so I picked it up. Y'all probably noticed that the CD didn't come with a cover or anything. Its just a nice addition to my collection.
Reel Tight single pushed back to November 10th. Check out the Reel Tight website.
A gang of Foesum shit comin out. Unfortunately I didn't find out until just now. Go to the new Foesum page The FoeGround. DJ Glaze is producing a new group called "Down From Upstairs" that was featured in MTV's The Cut. Check out their first single with Foesum The Ultimate Collaboration II.
Sorry to disappoint you. The Reel Tight single has been moved back until next Tuesday. Pick it up!! Support the new Warren G shit!!
I'm gonna use a CD-R to make a double CD of all of the G-Funk b-sides. If you can help me with some songs we can work out a trade. Check the list. Snoop's Dogghouse is reporting that Warren G's upcoming album is gonna be titled "I WANT IT ALL"!!!
I picked up Kuruption today. Yes, Monday. I got a copy a day early cuz I work in a retail store. I got the hook up. I've only gotten through the West Coast CD. Its okay, We Can Freak It and Ho's a Housewife are tight. The Warren G produced track is cool too, its song 10. Also, on the West Coast CD look for 2 extra tracks. Another Day, and another I don't remember the name of. On the East Coast Cd there's the East Coast remix of We Can Freak It. Also coming out tomorrow are Bizzy Bone and Mack 10's "The Recipe". These are guaranteed since I could've gotten those as well.

I got Bad Azz last week. There's some pretty tight tracks but otherwise the production wasn't that great. There's practically no bass and not nearly enough percussion. Check out "Continued Dedication" and "Tha Last Time" which are the 2 tightest tracks on the album.
Snoop's Dogghouse put up the first song from "Straight Outta Cali". Its from THE TWINZ!!! The song is called All Aboard and features Tray Dee.

Watch for Kuruption this Tuesday. Its 12.99 at Best Buy and 12.88 at Target. Not bad for two CDs. I'm gonna pick it up.
Word is that there's a bootleg floating around with new 213, Warren G, Outlaws songs and others. If anyone has a copy. Hook me up!! I'll make it worth your while!
I made a phone call to Def Jam and it appears that Da Five Footaz are off the label. They're not currently on Restless which was confirmed by a phone call this morning. I'm gonna try and find out whats up. Reel Tight's single is dropping October 13th and their album "Into The Reel" will hit the streets November 24th. I'd like to thank the operator at Restless for being so cool on the phone.
Check out The Official G-Funk Webpage!!!
Word is that Warren G's first single is featuring Snoop Dogg. Look for it in December sometime.
I got a hold of a preview of the Rush Hour soundtrack. Its unmastered and includes the Snoop and Slick Rick song that never made it to the commercial version. If someone can send me a copy of Real Audio 4.0 I'd be willing to put it up. My version is the shareware version.

I heard a new cut by Badass which is going to be the first single off his album which is set to release September 29th. "Word On The Streets". Check it out!
The next release on Dogg Foundation records is set to be Danny "Butch" Means according to Nate Dogg's World. This is some tight news. You should remember Butch from Nate Dogg's album. He also did some production for Death Row through the years.
Warren G is appearing at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum for a Hip-Hop Unity Concert on September 26th. I might go check it out.
I did my homework mane, I'm dying to hear Da Five Footaz. Neb Love appears on a Rick James album titled "Urban Rapsody". She is on "Its Time" and "Favorite Flava".
The tracklisting has come out for the Rush Hour soundtrack and it looks like 213 will not be making its debut there. But keep your ears open, 213 is coming.
The Bomb Pages is reporting that The Dove Shack has completed their sophmore album. I wouldn't look for it for a while though. Reel Tight has a finished album along with Da Five Footaz, The Twinz and whoever else is working on one. Possibly Knee-Hi or Young GFC??

Tha G-Funk Family is reporting that in The Source's Def Jam ad they have a picture of Warren G. Also, I heard a couple cuts from Kurupt's album "Kuruption" due out on October 6th. The song "We Can Freak It" is hella tight. I also heard a song called "Fresh" which is aight. Snoop Dogg's new album "Da Game Is To Be Sold, Not To Be Told" (A saying used in the Bay) sold 519,000 copies in its first week.
Remember how Game Don't Wait is supposed to appear on the Rush Hour soundtrack. I just saw an advance screening of the movie. Lemme tell you, Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker were awesome. Its the funniest movie I've ever seen. Hmm... Warren G on a Jackie Chan movie soundtrack.. can we say Supercop??? Remember how he made a cameo in the video?
Tha G-Funk Family is reporting that Reel Tight's debut "Into The Reel" may be released on August 25th. I wouldn't get your hopes up though. I was told by the Restless Records Marketing Director to expect the album in September or later. It still is possible. But check the Reel Tight section for the release dates I've heard.

I picked up the Nate Dogg album Tuesday and its tight. My favorite cuts off it are Me And My Homies, Nobody Does It Better and I Don't Wanna Hurt No More. I'm gonna do the lyrics for the album in a day or two. I've already started.
Also... Game Don't Wait will be the song featured on the Rush Hour Soundtrack. 213 has reunited at last!!!
Nate Dogg's album will definitely be out nationwide on Tuesday. Its on the shelveswhere I work and I've taken a look at it. Unfortunately since my store isn't open yet I can't purchase it but I will this Monday when it does open. 213 is reported to have a song on the "Rush Hour" soundtrack. Its supposed to drop September 1st.
Reel Tight's first single is called "Don't Be Afraid" and will be released October 5th. Their album will be released November 10th. Shout to Tha G-Funk Family homepage for the 411.
I just picked up the Swoop G album. Its aight, Who Got The Gangsta Shit pt. II is the tightest track. 2 Scoops of the Dove Shack makes an appearance on Testimonies.
Snoop's Dogghouse has moved and has just put up a couple of real audio files with Warren G in em. Check it out.
Warren G will be appearing in a movie called "Speedway Junkie". He was quoted saying its just a cameo but it should open up some opportunities for him. He's then planning to start a company called G-Funk Films. I think I'm wishing the G-Funk albums would come out before he does anything else. Don't count on Da Five Footaz coming out this Tuesday. I don't know where The Krib gets their 411 but its been wrong lately. On July 7th, "Terrorist Acts Vol. 1: Bomb Threat" was reported as coming out. Lets say its not, if it was I would know since my crew is supposed to be on it. I wonder whats going on.

Warren G will be appearing on JD's album in a song called "Protectors of 1472" which also features Snoop and R.O.C.

I heard "Just Another Day" from Nate Dogg on 92.3 The Beat this afternoon. Also, Nate Dogg, and I suspect Warren G will be appearing at the '98 Beat Summer Jam. I'm gonna try like hell to get tickets!

I sent a letter to Restless Records last week about my Warren G site requesting anything they could get me and today I received an e-mail from their marketing director who informed me that they were in the midst of creating an official Warren G site. Look for my site on their links when its up!!!
The "Nobody Does It Better" single dropped Tuesday. I picked it up. I'm getting disappointed that there hasn't been any remixes in a long time. Also, the video for Nobody Does It Better is playing on BET. Unfortunately, I dont get BET so if anyone can hook me up with some Warren G videos.. E-Mail me!! Nate Dogg's album is gonna drop July 21st!!!
There's some guy on the internet who saw a CD produced by QDIII that had 4 songs by 213. We don't know for sure if this is THE 213 but I'm gonna try to work something out to get the CD. I'll keep y'all informed.
Don't forget to vote for your Vote for your 10 favorite G-Funk songs.
Da Five Footaz has been pushed back to July 14th which is a good sign. This usually means that the album will drop. If any hears anything LET ME KNOW!!!
Restless Records announced that Reel Tight's debut album would be released in September and Warren G raps on several of the tracks along with producing the entire album.
Check out a new DOPE ASS site dedicated to all the Long Beach groups, go to Eastside, LBC.
Warren G did a collaboration not too long ago with Peter Andre in a song called "All Night All Right". I've known about it for a few months now but its an import and I haven't been able to find it. It used to be in the store at CDNow.
I just did the lyrics for Warren's remix of "Hit Me Off". You can download the song at Tha G-Funk Family webpage.
I just picked "Ghetto Politix" which is the soundtrack to video Lowrider # 10. The Executive Producer is Wron G. It contains a brand new song from The Dove Shack called "We -Funk, G-Funk". No, its not "We Funk (The G-Funk)". Its based on that song a little bit, I was afraid that it would be a remix because the first line is the same in both songs. Also on the soundtrack are songs by DJ Rectangle, Big Syke, Thug Life, Jayo Felony, and Swoop G.
I picked up C-Style's 19th Street Comkpilation about a month ago. Y'all gotta pick it up because its tight!!! It features Bo-Roc, Tray Dee, and Daz on songs. The Lowlifes also have an album of their own coming out soon.
You may have remembered the snippit of "What We Go Through" that I put up before Warren G's album came out, it featured Tha Dogg Pound. The Untouchable Death Row website got a copy and put it on Real Audio. So check out the version of "What We Go Through" with Warren G, Kurupt, Hershey Locc (Mr. Malik), Daz and Badass.
Peep a new cut off of Nate Dogg's album titled "Friends"
I heard what Warren G described as "The first single from Nate Dogg's album" on the Beat Thursday. Its a song called "Nobody Does It Better" featuring Warren G. Check it out if you can, its tight!!!

I've also been busy transcribing lyrics off the Nate Dogg album which I picked up a couple weeks ago. In other news, Snoop's underground album has finally been shipped. Check out Snoop Dogg's official website.
I'm also hearing that an album called "Long Beach Independence Day" is coming out sometime this year featuring artists like the Twinz, Dove Shack, Warren G, and other Long Beach artists. I'll keep you informed.

Also, Snoop's Dogghouse reports that "Nobody Does It Better" is gonna be on the "Woo" soundtrack.

The Krib reports that the Twinz album is titled "Ringers"
Warren G is going to appear on Kurupt's double CD "Kuruption" due out July 21st.
He's also working with Wyclef Jean on a project called "Class Reunion 1999"
Warren G signed a deal with Restless Records after having label problems with Def Jam. It guarantees at least 3 albums a year starting with the Reel Tight album sometime in Spring. Also, Warren G has a new album coming out this summer including the reuniting of 213. Warren G has a short song on Power 106 out here in L.A. advertising for Power. Its pretty tight.

G-Funk Records hasn't been dropped by Def Jam after all.
Other rumors are saying that instead of Nate starting his own label, he's going to be signed by G-Funk. Apparently the reason why Warren G appeared on very little of the Snoop albums and Snoop never appeared on Warren G's albums was because Suge had beef with Def Jam. This is also a reason why Snoop is going to leave Death Row.
Warren G is being sued by his manager. The trial was set for earlier this month. Thanks to Tha G-Funk Family webpage for this 411. Check the link below.

Planned albums: Knee-Hi, Young GFC, The Dove Shack & Da Five Footaz, a Warren G EP.
Remember the rumor about the Warren G EP? Well I'm hearing that it could possibly be a DJ album titled "Rectangle Cutz". I'm also hearing a rumor that The Dove Shack and Da Five Footaz are teaming up for an album due out some time in SUMMER. Da Five Footaz album should be out in Spring, and the Twinz album should be out shortly after.
Will Smith's album came out and there was no Warren G songs on it. I guess its just another case of not being cleared or just simply not making the cut. Damn shame. I was waitin for it.

Warren G is suing Garth Brooks for copyright infringement of his trade marked G.
And I'm hearing that DefJam collaborated with Mercury Records in Europe to create an album called "The Rapsody Overture". The first single is by Warren G and Sissel and its called "Prince Igor". It was released October 10th and the lyrics are almost exactly the same as for "Reality". I just heard it this weekend and props go out to Leonie for sending me the tape from New Zealand. Anyways.. the song is aight. You gotta get used to it, its not really a G Funk beat, come to think of it, its not really a rap beat. But you'll dig it.
I'm receiving word that there was a song sent out as a promo but taken off the "Take A Look Over Your Shoulder" album called "Gang Bang" featuring Tha Dogg Pound and Nate Dogg. I'm currently trying to get a copy as well as trying to get added to a mailing list of some sort at G Funk. I'll let you know if I get a copy of the song.

I just found out via MTV that Warren G is gonna do a song called "G Z and the Blowfish" with Hootie and the Blowfish. In Germany on tour they called him up on stage to do some flows and now they're collaborating for a song on an upcoming soundtrack. The song "Lets Wait A While" was a collaboration on Shaquille O'Neal's new album. Sorry for the mix up.
