When/where we met:
Kitchener-Waterloo, summer 1995. We actually first met at this great dance club called the Lyric (which unfortunately no longer exists), but didn't start dating until five months later.

Our first date:
We went to see the movie While You Were Sleeping, starring Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman. And yes, we have the movie.

How It Happened:
Our anniversary is on New Year's Day, and we always celebrate by staying home together the night before, renting a few movies, ordering Chinese food, and staying up together to watch the Big Apple descend. This year when we opened our fortune cookies (on Jan 1st 2003), My fortune read: "You will be proposed to." And then Mike knelt down and asked me to marry him!
