Overview:

Sergeant Neysa Quisa is assigned to the Centurion Company of Caesar's Cohorts which defends the planet of Lockton in the Magistracy of Canopus. Recently, her Assassin suffered a serious fall during a training mission and the engine shielding was damaged beyond repair. Fortunately, the unit had an engine salvaged from an old Rifleman and thus saving her form becoming one of the Dispossessed

The technical staff managed to shoehorn the Pitban 240 into the Assassin with relatively ease. This engine replacement led to a reduction in the overall speed of the 'Mech but freed up a good amount of weight to add some much needed improvements to the frail Assassin. The first change to the Assassin came in the form of CASE being added to both right and left torso ammo bins. The technicians then moved the small lasers mounted in each   leg to a location in the corresponding torso. This gave the pilot a more stable firing position than existed in their original location, especially when on the run.

The next move was to upgrade the head-mounted small laser to a medium laser, thus giving the ‘mech added firepower for a small cost in weight. With the addition of another heat producing weapon, the techs added another heat sink to dissipate the newly generated heat.

Now that the weapons changes were complete, the technicians set themselves to the task of protecting the ‘Mech and its pilot on the battlefield. With that in mind they spread an additional two tons of armor quite liberally with nearly half of that mass going to protect the ‘Mechs legs. Theis application of armor increased the overall protection on the Assassin by fifty percent ensuring   that both pilot and ‘Mech now stood a better chance at survival

Battle History:

In March of this year, Caesar's Cohorts were involved in the defense of Lockton from a pirate raid and Neysa nad her Assassin figured prominently. The Centurion Company harassed the flanks of the pirate force using their speed and maneuverability, peppering the pirates with long-range missiles and energy weapons.

During this action, Neysa traded shots with a number of pirate 'Mechs and scoring a number of hits on 'Mechs half again her size. While she claimed no kills, her actions and those of her fellow Centurions, allowed the rest of the Cohorts to cut off the pirates and defeat them in total.
