To Everyone Well WIER is almost over unfortunately. I had lots of fun reading and responding to your stories. My favourite story is "One Ton Troy" because it reminds me of my friend. Sean TO EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN READING THINGS ON WIER… We (Samantha, Sheryl-Ann, Tiffany and Jon) have enjoyed reading all the wonderful work on WIER. We have also enjoyed responding and carrying on conversations with people from different parts of Canada. It has been GREAT!!! We will miss all the great stories posted. They are all excellent. I hope to see some of these stories published someday. I'm not going to mention any story names seeing how there were so many great ones. I (Samantha) would like to thank Nicole for carrying on the conversation about the story "My Sister" it still reminds me of me and my best friend. We would also like to thank Angela for making this possible. It has been a BLAST!!!!!!! Also I would like to thank Rhea for helping us with our writing and editing skills. It will help us become better writers as we learned many things, especially to focus on the ideas and not so much on the conventions. Thank you Goodbye from Samantha, Tiffany, Sheryl-Ann, and Jonathan, your WIER(D) friends. Hi!!!!! It's now that time when we must wrap things up and say our goodbyes. We would like to say that we really enjoyed working with other students and the WIER project. By reading and responding to stories it has made us realize that writing is really important and a way of expressing your feelings and yourself. We learned that editing is not only about spelling errors, it's making sure that your ideas and contents are clear and recognized. We would like to say thank you to everyone involved in this project for this wonderful experience. We all agree that “Picture Girl” is very good and one of our favourite stories that we read. It's very touching. The most touching part of the story is when she explains how sad she is. At the end she is happy because she realizes the girl understands her point of view and that she is cared for. We find that really meaningful. Well I guess all we have left to say, so bye, bye, Bobi Jo, Nicole, and Gabriela Thanks a lot, for everything! I have had lots of fun on WIER and learned a lot about fixing writing. Other students have written stories and having read them and the responses, I have learned important things about the writing process. Thanks to Rhea for her useful tips. It has really been interesting seeing what an author has to say and talking to others about writing. Ken signing off! (You're welcome, Ken. I'm glad it was a good time for you! Rhea) We'd like to thank Rhea for taking time to help us to perfect our work. Rhea, it's been an honour working with you. It has been a memorable month working with WIER. This program has helped us to improve our writing and editing skills. We will encourage other students to participate in this program because it's very helpful. We've enjoyed interacting with other authors from across Canada, editing and responding to their work. We'd like to thank Rhea for taking time to help us to perfect our work. Rhea, it's been an honour working with you. We'll miss reading all the wonderful stories. The stories that were the favourites between us were "Happiness Isn't" and "Blue Sky", although, we liked all the stories that were posted. It was a great experience and we hope to do it again in the future. Bye! :) Flora and Lisa (Dear Flora and Lisa - so kind of you to say that! You're most welcome; I had a great time! Rhea) Unfortunately WEIR is almost over and I just wanted to say that it's been a great couple of weeks. I think that WEIR is a great program that writers of all ages can gain a lot from it. It helped students to improve the organization, description and just general quality of their stories. All of the stories were great but I think that Bad Decision[s] was my favorite. It was written very well and had a good message behind it. Lastly I'd like to thank all of the students and teachers across Canada who participated in WEIR. I'd also like to thank Rhea T for her great advice. Thanks Again, Chris (Thanks and glad I could help! Rhea) |
