BACKGROUND

In 1982, I received the High Studies Diploma in Architecture from the "Institut des Beaux Arts" at the "Universite Libanaise" in Beirut, Lebanon. During the same year, I became a member of the "Ordre des Ingénieurs et Architectes," also in Lebanon. My career began as a worker at the offices of several architects, executing a wide variety of projects in Lebanon and in the Gulf countries

In addition to these projects, I became experienced with two teaching positions:
Architectural Design at YWCA Technical College in Beirut
History of Arts at Amlieh Technical College in Beirut

In 1988, my variety of activities in Lebanon cleared a path for more activities in Europe, Switzerland, England and other locations of the world.
In India, I undertook a leading position in a joint venture project listed in Achievement II.

Furthermore, I acquired a Post Graduate Study in Church Architecture from
Westminster College in Cambridge, England in 1990.

My multinational work led to other expansions in my activities. The range of this multinational work includes my unique background. I was born in Beirut and have citizenship German. Also, my multilingual education includes:
Arabic, French, English and German. Arabic and French was learned in Beirut, English was learned in England, and German was learned in Germany. In Germany, Thailand, and Russia, a new field was added to my experience:
The industrial project.
In 1991, I became a member of the "Architektenkammer Nordrhein-Westfalen" in Germany.

German Acrylates Project - CELANESE Ltd. - Boehlen, Germany
(The facility is partially owned by DOW and the German Government.) Responsible for designing the blast-proof Control Building and the Electrical Substation of a DM 430 Mi project for the installation of an Acrylic Acid unit and a Butyl Acrylate unit at the BSL (Buna Sow Oelfinverbund) facility. In addition, supporting the permit work, approving authority, developing all execution drawings, reviewing structural steel shop drawings, coordinating project communications between the Houston and Leipzig offices and providing construction/field support.
DuPont Crastin PBT-Plant - Hamm Uentrop, Germany
Responsible for revamping the existing process building, (project of 21 Mi. DM, construction 3.8 Mi. DM) preparing building permits / authority engineering, supervising the architectural drawings, coordinating various disciplines such as piping, processing, electrical work and mechanical work.
BAYER PC Plant - South East Asia
Lead engineer responsible for 37 Mi.DM chemical plant project, performing all task force activities including building design, material take off, and requests for quotations.
SHELL Refinery - Hamburg, Germany
Performed all engineering activities including preparation of detail drawings, specifications and bids.

CURAMIC Electronics - Eschenback, Germany
Responsible for proposing activities for engineering and construction services for a semiconductor factory (2849 m², 7.585 Mi. DM), including time schedules and costs estimates.
Office Building - Frankfurt, Germany
Lead engineering events, the elimination of faults and defects in the wake of liability disputes, and interdisciplinary coordination.

BAYER AG (Administration building, Laboratories) - Leverkusen, Germany.
Engineering involvement including designing and preparing study drawings through to final detail drawings for various projects.

Study Manager

Responsible for the preparation of feasibility studies for a housing project in New Delhi, India. The assignment required coordination with international agencies, estimating financial resources and preparation of reports. Also, I supervised on site for a multinational work force / team of volunteers and local workers.

1983 - 1988 MECC-Reconstruction Program - UNICEF - Lebanon
Reconstruction of dialysis center, secondary school.
Construction of water pump station, public health school and sanitary project. On assignment to the UNICEF-MECC joint venture project, responsible for various projects from study stage through to construction work including site supervision. Coordination of all services to ensure successful implementation on site.
