Testimonials
- "Tennis is a difficult game to play well and an even more challenging
game to teach well. Garth Haynes' rock solid fundamentals combined
with his patience and insightful delivery make him the most effective
tennis professional I have worked with in 25 years. If you give Garth
enough time to ingrain his "Big Three" (Balance, Rotation and Contact
Point) into your game you will be rewarded not only with a better game
but also with an understanding of how even the top players in the
world perform their magic.
Thanks Garth!

- "Garth Haynes worked with our senior men's team and was largely responsible for our win at the league championship level. When we found ourselves in playoff contention I suggested some clinics to the rest of the team. We had six weeks to playoffs and Garth put together a six pact program for us, focusing on utilizing our strengths, not trying to reinvent our strokes. I cannot begin to tell anyone what it did for us as a team. One of our players came off the court after the last playoff match lauding Garth's coaching, giving him sole credit for the win. In case you missed it, the key operative word here is "seniors". Prior to our six pact workout, I would have been the first to say "You can't teach an old dog new tricks." Garth made a liar out of me. If he can do this for a bunch of old curmudgeons like us, imagine what he could do for someone who is truly teachable. Since then Garth has been working with me on the mechanics of my strokes as well as strategy and after a few sessions, all I can say is "WOW !...you gotta try this."

- "Garth Haynes has coached the 5.5 USTA Men’s team playing out of Millbrae/San Carlos since 1999. He was primarily responsible for increasing my rating from 5.0 to 5.5. Garth has a wealth of tennis knowledge and real world experience having played on the tour to address player specific problems. For me it was work on my forehand and volley that allowed me to compete against top players in the Bay Area having only competed at the high school level."

- "Garth Haynes was my coach for CSM's Women's Varsity Tennis, during which he has taken my game to a higher level. In just this past season my serve, volleys and forehand have tremendously improved. By focusing on greater balance and improved contact points they have gone from being weaknesses to becoming effective shots in my game. My experience of working with Garth convinced me of his keen ability to see the flaws in the mechanics of your strokes, and what you can then do to correct them. Since our season, Garth has continued to work on my game in preparation for playing the 04' tennis season at The University of Washington on a full athletic scholarship."
Mugette Ahn, 03' State JC Singles Champion and Doubles Finalist.
- "Garth Haynes was the College of San Mateo Women’s tennis team coach the last year I played there. I had always been a singles player but with his coaching I started to learn and acknowledge the beauty of doubles. He helped me a lot with my serve which used to be one of my weaknesses. Both my singles and doubles game as a whole improved a lot thanks to Garth. Mugget and I had a great season and I think we both owe it to his coaching and enthusiasm."
