Don't Leave Me

On the docks, Alexis was talking to Ric as Kristina was sitting on the bench looking into the water. Alexis and Ric could not stop talking and it was driving Kristina crazy. "Mom! Are you ready yet?" she yelled as Alexis turned to look at her. "I'll be right there honey." she said as her mouth started going off on Ric again. "This is going to take forever." she said to herself as she stood up and walked closer to the edge of the docks.
"Be careful Kristina!" Alexis yelled. "Mom, I'm not five years old anymore. Please hurry up!" Kristina said. She knelt down looking at her reflection in the water as she felt something in her life was missing. She didn't know how to explain it but something was just missing. She loved her mother more than life; she was the only thing she ever had.
"Sorry for the wait Kristina, I just had to talk to Ric about this case I'm working on and it always takes a long time trying to explain things to Ric." Alexis said as Kristina stood up angry.
"You take forever. I thought we were going to go dress shopping for the Homecoming dance?" she said.
"We still are." her mother said smiling to try to cheer things up.
"Actually, what is the point? I don't even have a date, so why even get a dress?" Kristina yelled.
"Oh Kristina, you'll get a date. You are beautiful and charming, and any guy who didn't ask you would be a fool."
"You have to say that, you're my mother." she said.
"True, but I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it." Alexis said as she wrapped her arms around her daughter giving her a hug of comfort.
All of a sudden, Sonny and Jason walk down the stairs of the docks and Alexis freaked out. She let go of Kristina and whispered, “Honey, this will only take a second." Kristina hated it when she would always go off on Sonny for no reason.
"What are two doing here? Up to no good probably, waiting for a shipment to arrive." Alexis asked.
Kristina couldn't take another fight between her mother and Sonny. Slowly, she walked near the edge of the docks as she carefully looked at herself in the water. She tried to forget about the voices surrounding her as she looked up and saw in the distance as ship. It was reaching closer and closer to the docks. She heard her mother saying in the back round, “Just stay away from me and my daughter."
Out of no where, the ship blew up with raging fire destroying as the explosion echoed through out the whole town. The docks shook, knocking Kristina into the water as her eyes were blinded by the fire. "Kristina!" Alexis shouted as she fell back into Sonny's arms. Jason tumbled forward as he went right for Kristina.
Under water, Kristina couldn't see or breathe. She tried moving but her jacket was caught on some wood. Freaking out she reached over her shoulder to try to unhook herself.
At the same time, the boat was still on fire. Jason rushed to the edge of the docks looking to see Kristina. Alexis ran over screaming, “Kristina! Kristina!" she started to cry as she feared the worst. Jason took off his leather jacket as he jumped into the water. Alexis fell forward crying, "Kristina, I'm so sorry." Sonny knelt down be hide her as he patted her back.
Kristina was fighting for her life but couldn't unhook herself. Fear was surrounding her as she gave up unhooking herself. Her eyes drifted off as she stopped breathing completely as she became unconscious. Jason swam underneath searching for her and didn't see her. He came up to the surface again to get a breathe of air as Alexis yelled," Where is she?"
Jason didn't answer as he drove back down underneath the docks and stopped her. His long arms grabbed her as he tried pulling her away but realized she was stuck. Quickly, he swam around Kristina unhooking her jacket from the wood. Too much time went by Jason thought as he wrapped his right arms around her chest. He swam quickly to the top as he lifted her head. "Kristina!" Alexis cried. Sonny's already called the police and ambulance as they waited for them to arrive. Jason moved closer towards the docks, as Sonny helped lift Kristina out of the water.
Sonny's hands covered her wet face as Jason helped pushed her butt and legs up. Carefully, Sonny laid her head on the dock as Alexis cried, “Kristina, can you hear me? Baby." Jason rushed up on the docks as he reached over near Kristina. "Sonny move." he said as Jason took charge. He felt her cold skin as he check her pulse and felt nothing.
"She doesn't have a pulse. Did you call an ambulance?" he said.
"Yes." Sonny said.
“My baby." Alexis cried as Sonny comforted her.
Jason tipped her head as he placed his warms lips on top of cold cherry lips breathing right into her. Watching her chest rise, he did it again as he waited for her chest to rise once more. He stared at her chest as he opened her red jacket and saw her see-through white blouse and white bra. Placing his hands perfectly on her wet chest he started CPR. “One, two, three, four, five." he whispered out loud. He went back to give her mouth to mouth as nothing was changing.
Finally, the ambulance came as Jason told them what was wrong with Kristina. Alexis was in tears, she couldn't even talk as she was praying that her baby would be okay. The paramedics took over as they continue CPR and realized nothing was changing. They pumped air into her with a mask as the paramedic ripped open her shirt. He placed his hands on her skin and continued CPR as the female paramedic handed him a two paddles to shock her. "I'm going to shock her."
Aggressively, he positions the paddles on her innocent chest as he, "Clear!" Her body rise up as her legs and head lifted up from the ground and made a crashing sound as she fell back. She still had no pulse, as the paramedic quickly placed the paddles again on her chest,” Shocking again, 250." The paddles shocked her helpless body as this time Kristina's body flew higher and made a louder crashing sound. They were losing her, still no pulse. Alexis cried louder as she said, “No, please Kristina fight. My baby."
Her body was turning blue as he said," 250 again. Clear." Her chest rose quickly and her back feel helplessly down. Nothing changed. They were giving up on her; they turned her onto a stretcher as they strapped her up, continuing to bag her (giving her air). The paramedic threw the paddles on the ground as he continues CPR on his icy skin. Everyone packed everything up and placed her into the ambulance as they were still trying to save her life. Alexis got into the ambulance as she feared the worst.
The whole ride, they continued CPR as nothing changed. Reaching the hospital, quickly and carefully they carried her out and rushed her inside.
"We got a flat line right here." a paramedic said.
The doctor's rushed over and took her to the ER right away. The doctor took over as he took his black paddles and asked, “How long has she been like this?" "About seven minutes." the female paramedic said.
"Shocking her 300, clear." His paddles dove onto her chest as Kristina flew up in the air higher than ever falling back down. Still no change, people were losing hope as the doctor said, “Once more." The last time he placed the paddles, as her body sprung and landed as she received a pulse. It was extremely weak but she was still alive.
The doctor's did the best they lost her again; she went flat line as the doctor instructed the nurse to but her on life support. As she was doing that, he performed CPR and nothing was happening. He stopped as Kristina was dead living on life support. The doctor walked out and told Alexis the terrible news. "She's on life support right now. You can go and see her." TO BE CONTIUNED....
