Blossom, A PowerPuff Girl

This doll is the most unique, because I had to make up my own pattern, from scratch. Fortunately, they were pretty easy. The head is a big oval with an attached neck. The body is a squat rectangle, and the legs are just long, rounded rectangles. The arms were the most difficult of an easy task. They are attached at the neck. The skirt is just a tube with a piece of black ribbon sewn to the top for a belt. It's removable.

I would say that the hardest thing about this doll is the eyes. I tried paint, but that didnt work. (It never occured to me to do the iron on thing with these dolls - I made these a long time ago) What I finally ended up doing was using felt and then gluing the colors of the eye on to the felt. I used fray-check so the colors of the eye (which were the same ones as the the body) would not fray. This also gave the eye a glossy look, a side effect I thought was nice. I drew the mouth on with pen, and drew the shoes on with pen. The hair is yarn, and it is glued on, not hand sewn. This doll is definitely not as involved as any from the Sailor Moon show, and it is fairly easy to make.

I am working on making a new pattern for the dolls, one that would include facial iron-ons. When I am done, I will definitely let you know, (should you decide to bookmark my site) and you can purchase them from me. The pattern will have probably just 6 pieces and some simple instructions. Well, here are the pictures!
