I haven't updated in awhile and now there's a WHOLE bunch of news. Where should I start? I'll do it in order I think....

First of all the music video that was being planned is a go-ahead! I didn't wanna get stuck doin' a skate video and puttin' music to it so I'm glad Ghos Fienz were cool with this. If it turns out half decent (and this is only my first year doin' video so half decent isn't saying much..) then maybe I'll try and find a site to host it. And I someone suggested I try and submit it to MuchMusic but seeing as this is my first year doin' this stuff I doubt it would be good enough. But ya never know...

Next thing is Ghos Fienz have been competing in an on-line battle at DSU. It's been going on for quite awhile now and the first one is over with Ill Kid taking the top spot in the last round against Jel. A new battle will be started next week (I think) so you can go over to DSU and vote for your favourite battle there.

Third Ghos Fienz have climbed two steps up on the ladder to success. One step would be having one of their songs called "The Cave" played on  CBC Radio (107.5 FM). This station is one of the few that has a regular program (called New Music Canada) that plays up-coming Canadian talent. The song was played around 11:50pm and was one of 3 songs played in the hip-hop category. The announcer also mentioned the name of the group (Ghos Fienz), the song title ("The Cave") and their city (Maple Ridge) which is cool. Hopefully this will help bring in more fans for Ghos Fienz.
The second step-up for Ghos Fienz was getting accepted to NMW (New Music West). This is a HUGE four day event in Vancouver and it helps showcase some of North America's rising stars. You can check out the New Music West site for all the details.

Last Ghos Fienz hosting of "Step Up or Shut Up" (an MC battle) was a HUGE success. Way more people showed up than Bogart's could handle and a bunch of people had to leave so that the fire dept. wouldn't shut the whole thing down. Since this first event was such a success it is going to be made into a monthly event. Also.... congratz to GemInEye from Mission for the first place win and Catch23 from Vancouver for second place!
