The mysterious figure grabs hold of you and pulls you  further into the tunnel. Struggling to break free, you notice you are short of breath...the air is becoming ever more dense.  Too tired to fight back, you feel like nothing so much as a helpless animal being dragged on a leash. A sudden chill envelopes your body. Your legs feel numb, frozen...you glance down to see nothing more than mist! "My god, help me!" you scream. The only response you receive is your own frantic call for help echoing through the cracks in the floor, continuing on into oblivion. It was your last vestige of hope; you clung to it. The sound of your own voice was all that remained of who you once were. Your hopes then fade as the rest of your body dissipates into thin air; every inch replaced by a hazy mist. You find you no longer have a pulse,  and you're no longer breathing. Your existance: forevermore nothing more than a spirit....

A human caught in a transparent body, you take a deep breath to remain sane. You glance around at your surroundings. The path you follow is mirrored with millions of what appears to be crystal shards that stretch on forever. Whatever small amount of light that is in the room is captured in the crystals, casting a small kaleideoscope of colours into the heavens above. There is a sudden electrical charge in the air.  Seemingly out of nowhere, lightning crashes and shatters tiny portions of the ground. Nothing but a black void fills the gaps between the broken pieces. The sheer idea of disbelieving what was happening never enters your mind...any sense of normalcy or reason left as you entered here.

You turn around and see that the apparition who had escorted you here has vanished without a trace. A feeling of loneliness and despair weaves its tendrils into you like a cold dagger being pushed directly into your heart.

You close your eyes and hear a voice:

" The lighted tunnels you so often speak of, your white light; this is the route of voyage for lost souls coming home. The final salvation for the dying. You and I are in that tunnel. I was once like you; carefree, full of life. I was present in the room whilst my brother lay dying in his bed. Praying that god would finally take away his pain. Suddenly, a tunnel-like opening appeared, which I later discovered was one which should not be visible to the living. Why I saw this, I cannot know. Curious, I decided to investigate......Now, I have been trapped here since time immemorial. Time however, has no meaning here. Despite my many attempts, I cannot pass through. With no way to return to my home, I wander endlessly here. You however, you still have time to explore all the worlds. Maybe one tunnel shall lead you home. I just wish I could know if my family is still alive....I, I love them so very much......."   The walls murmured once...and all was silent.
