non-flutes don't understand the "Curse of the Flutes" thing.
Well, your in luck, I'm going to explain it to you!
See, it all started last year when we discovered that Lauren
Anson had seriously injured her left shoulder.
For those of you that don't know, Lauren even had
to have surgery on it. She was quite nervous about it.
She had to go through several months of physical therapy
post-operation. She also had to keep her arm strapped
to her body in a split at all times. You can imagine
the inconvenience.
Well one day Mr. Vernon was joking around with
Lauren and saying that now everytime
a flute player gets sick or something bad happens
to them, it will be Lauren's fault
because she created the "Curse of the Flutes!"
And for those of you that don't think its funny,
or that its just another silly thing that Mr. Vernon
was joking about, HA! The Curse has been
put to the test plenty of times. Believe me!
I'll be keeping a log here of accurances of The Curse to prove
everyone's case.
Let's see, there was Jennifer O'Neill and her run-in with
The Curse. She was being burglarized one
stormy afternoon when she was home alone.
With a natural adrenaline rush she got
carried away when trying to scare off the jerk and
crashed her had through a window.
Its not stupid, so don't laugh.
It worked though, cause the guy left and thank God
Jennifer is okay. Yes, and its all because of
"The Curse of the Flutes"
And oh yeah, how can we forget. There was Lisa Berry's
run-in with The Curse. We were marching
our first show of the season when I first found out about it.
We were back in the stands when I heard
how Lisa's knee had been bothering her. The
condition was down-played but I later realized that Lisa
was in quite a bit of pain. We thought for a while
she might need surgery.
Heaven forbid.
Of course the first thing to my mind was
"The Curse of the Flutes"
Lauren's curse had done it again. Its been awhile since
this outbreak, but I'm under the impression
that Lisa's knee is better. But who knows
when The Curse will feed on Lisa Again....
With all this said, all I have to say is
