How do I talk about Michael.  This is one that is hard to talk about.  Dear Michael.  He died at the age of 42 on April 10 after a long battle.  I'll always remember the night we first met.  I'll remember how he changed my life with the War Conference.  I'll remember the morning he turned to me to talk about his dream to have a World Summit for Children and then organized one four years later for Unicef where he worked as Executive Assistant to the President.   To this day, it is the world's largest gathering of heads of states.  I remember how he almost single handedly organized World AIDS day at the United Nations.   This is someone who made a difference in the world.  I'll remember his love for Shawn who died eight years prior to him passing.  I'll remember the July 4ths on his deck in the Village.  I'll remember the nights on Fire Island.  I'll remember his sister and most of all, I'll remember how he made me feel loved.

Peter died in September clean and sober.  He looked the best he had in years.   I remember the first night we met when he was Michael Madison's partner some 14 years earlier.  He had some funny lines.  I remember his North Carolina accent.  I remember the trips to Rehobeth.  I remember that apartment on 17th Street and those darn oil lamps of his.  I remember his delight at moving to 16th Street where he had a washing machine!  He was one of the first to bring me into the world of fabulousness.  Heck, I can still hear him say----FABULOUS!
