Isaac Albeniz
Asturias (Leyenda) Sample:
MIDI Format
Tuning: EADGBE Key: E Minor
Comments: At last here is the transcription for Asturias
(Leyenda) by Isaac Albeniz. Albeniz never actually composed music for
the guitar, his pieces were originally for piano, but he clearly had
the guitar in mind when composing them. This is a part of the Suite
Española, inspired by various regions and cities in Spain.
Subtitled "Leyenda (Legend)" this piece is the musical telling of a
mountain tale, that seems to grow more exaggerated with the building
of each phrase.

Sevilla
Tuning: DGDGBE Key:???
Comments: Another piece from the "Suite Española".
The city of Sevilla is the heart of a fundamental flamenco dance, the
"sevillanas". The lively, rhytmical opening and conclusion of this
piece suggest a flamenco party, but the central section interrupts
with the mournful cry of a flamenco singer.
