In common with many players these days, Gianluca Pessotto is equally at home at full-back or in a wide midfield position. This veteran Italian international goes about his job in a sporting, quiet and efficient manner. The Latisana-born player has represented his country at the 1998 FIFA World Cup and EURO 2000™. Pessotto joined Juventus FC after spells with a number of clubs – including Milan AC, Bologna FC, Hellas Verona FC and Torino Calcio – in time for the 1995/96 season. Has played a major part in the Turin club’s considerable success ever since, including helping them to the Italian championship in 1997 and 1998, as well as UEFA Champions League success in 1996.
