The Croatian giant was a mainstay of the
Juventus FC defence in the 2000/01 UEFA Champions League and his fine technical
displays often drew rave reviews in Serie A. Tudor was already established as an
international when he joined the Italian club in 1998, having been a member of
the Croatian side which finished third at that year’s FIFA World Cup in
France. Joined the Turin club from HNK Hajduk Split in 1998, and proved himself
a surprisingly prolific goalscorer in the 2000/01 season, netting six goals in
25 league appearances. Hit his first goal in the Champions League campaign of
2000/01 in a 4-4 draw with Hamburger SV in Germany.
