It was one of the most important moments of my life when my friend Erkut ARCAK came to my office and asked me to print some log books for his dive center. I said I could do that for him and we started working on it. After a couple visits of him to my office I found myself asking questions about scuba diving. With every informative answers of him and stories that he told I noticed I was being pulled to the business more and more.
One day he asked me if I like to be a scuba diver and I said, "No, thanks. I'm happy with my life on the land". He didn't insist on it in that moment, but he kept asking about it in every talk. One of the following days, when I had enough courage, I couldn't say "No" to him and I booked my seat for the next course class. After a couple theoretical lessons we went to Middle-East Technical Uni.'s pool for my first practical experiences. It was then when I had my first breaths under the water.
After completing the theoretical and practical lessons I had to make 4 open-water dives to get my PADI license. That's why we headed for Kemer, the town I met my friend Taner YURDAGUL. I succeeded in the dives and Erkut signed my license as my instructor.
I started going to dive tours with Erkut to have more experience until he left Turkey to get his master program on "sub-aqua archeology" in Texas, USA. That's when I changed my route to Taner to get more experience on scuba diving. Since then I work as one of the crew of "Liberty" in everytime I've been to Kemer.
