Why a Fundamentalist Christian Might Not Vote for President Bush

President Bush's backwards and inhumane economic policies have caused an increase in abortion.

Another way President Bush promotes abortions is by trying to keep people from preventing pregnancies.

Of course, any devout Catholic will have to think twice before casting their vote for President Bush, as he supports the death penalty, which Pope John Paul II vehemently opposes, and as he started and continues to wage the war in Iraq, ignoring the pleas of The Pope.

While governor of Texas, Mister Bush ordered more people to be executed than any other state governor in the history of the United States.

One person he ordered to be executed was Karla Faye Tucker, who claimed to have been born again while in prison. Many people believed that she was just pretending to be a Christian, to forward her own personal motives. Sound familiar? That's exactly what President Bush has done.

President Bush is not qualified to make the types of decisions required of a president. So, in order to get elected, he panders to uninformed Fundamentalist Christians, preying on their faith to get their votes, just to serve his questionable objectives. President Bush himself is not what most folks would consider a good Christian.

While most of his supporters are sincere, good people (though stunningly uninformed,) President Bush is in fact a very bad man. A deceitful, duplicitous, and heartless man.

President Bush's "senior adviser" is an unabashedly evil man, utterly devoid of all moral values.

President Bush's political party, the RNC, paid criminals who, in many different states, kept voters from registering to vote this fall.

There is ample evidence that President Bush and his criminal operatives stole the election in 2000, and that they are at it again.

President Bush's environmental policies will probably cause about 30,000 Americans to die prematurely each year, just so his wealthy corporate campaign donors, some of the biggest industrial polluters in the world, can make a little more money.

President Bush's ill conceived foriegn policies have, so far, killed over a thousand Americans, and a hundred thousand Iraqi civilians (mostly women and children,) and maimed much higher numbers, in a war to which there is not likely to be an end.

Under President Bush, The U. S. Air Force is killing innocent Iraqis at a rate five times higher than Saddam Hussein. Yea America! Makes you proud, doesn't it? Do you really think President Bush believes in heaven and hell?

In addition to putting more weapons of mass destruction into the hands of our enemies, President Bush's poorly thought out strategies to combat terrorism are also causing a sharp increase in anti-American hatred in millions of the very people most likely to be the next wave of terrorists.

Many uninformed folks are scared that as president, John Kerry won't be much more effective at preventing terrorism than President Bush has been. What they don't seem to remember, of course, is that John Kerry was quite effectively fighting terrorists the right way fourteen years ago.

If Karla Faye Tucker was just pretending to be a Christian, to convince Mister Bush to spare her life, it didn't work. But a similar ploy has worked wonders for President Bush.

Without the votes of people who voted for him just because they thought he was a Christian, Mister Bush would have never become President, no matter how much money America's major polluters contributed to his campaign, and no matter how many voters were illegally denied their rights to vote and to have their votes counted.

Many Christians are now beginning to understand the deception President Bush has perpetrated on them, co-opting their values, disgracing their good names, and taking advantage of their humble and noble faith. All just to garner enough votes to be President, so he can wage his poorly planned and brutally executed war on the children of Iraq.

And so he can appease his campaign donors by allowing them to wage war on the children of America. They are polluting our environment and poisoning babies with mercury before they are even born. Polluters in America are now unregulated to a degree unthinkable during the three decades previous to President Bush's term in office.

By doing almost everything wrong, and by causing hateful division in the country and in the world, President Bush is not only making Americans look very bad in the eyes of the world. He is also, as a result of his heavy reliance on them to be his support base, making Republicans and Fundamentalist Christians look very bad in the eyes of other Americans.

Many Republicans have already jumped ship,
and it's high time that Fundamentalist Christians do, too.
