21: "Calling All You Angels"

This section is only for people who have actually heard this song. I'd be amazed if you haven't - it would indicate that you didn't listen to any popular radio station within the last couple years. But this is a secular song, overly pessimistic and dire, and I was so annoyed by it that I wrote several paragraphs on it to my agnostic correspondent.

"Here is part of a song lyric you would agree with:
`I don't need no one to tell me about heaven, I look at my daughter and I believe/I don't need no proof when it comes to God and truth/I can see the sunset...'
Not good enough for me. I prefer this one:
`I need a sign to let me know you're here/I want a reason for the way things have to be...While children have to play inside so they don't disappear/And private eyes solve marriage lies, cause we don't talk (sic)too clear/In a world where all we want is all we want...
That guy has my attitude."

Later, the same atheist presents a story about a Buddhist monk who hits a man and says, "That is hell," then hugs him or does something nice to him and says, "this is heaven." I find this to be extremely self - contradictory. But since what song you like is all a matter of preference, how about this one?

Alternate Version:

"Calling all you angels happened to be the very first one on the music tape I played while reinstalling Win98. The installation went rather well,, maybe you are wrong about that song!"

Sure it went well. Lucifer wants you to like him! I'm sure that if you were pursuing godly matters, instead of trying to improve your material possessions, it would have worked just the opposite.
