The artist describes this picture by saying, "...it starts at the lower left cremation vase. Clockwise, (a character) gets 86'ed into, oblivion." However, there can be more than one interpretation of this image. Although you can interpet it as the cat being sucked down into a black hole, notice that the cat is facing the viewer, as if it is coming forwards into the light. Or, perhaps, it is going down into the pit of hell, not necessarily oblivion, but just as unpleasant. In addition to this, I ask, where does the spotlight come from? Is this a last dying vision of the cremated cat? Or is this truly the afterlife?
