Her school marks are rated #1 in Japan. Ami is kind, objective, wears reading glasses and dresses conservatively, and the others always suggest that she get out more. She is usually very quiet, a little too quiet at times. Because of this, Ami is sometimes mistaken as being too proud, even though she is just a person who rarely opens herself to others. However, after she has met Usagi, her lonely personality begins to fade away... Ami begins to open herself up more often, and really enjoys being with her friends. Ami currently lives with her mother in a mansion in Minato-ku, and hopes to be a doctor like her mother one day. Her father is an artist (eps.151). She takes juku (eps. 8), and was once offered a scholarship to study abroad to realize her dreams of becoming a doctor (eps.62), though she did not leave in the end as Ami realizes how important her friends are to her. Also, Ami kind of has a relationship with Urawa Ryo. During battle, Sailor Mercury is the wisdom of the Sailor Team. The other senshis depend on her quick thinking and problem solving skills while doing battle. She prefers to gather information on the enemy and distracting them with her attacks, but if she is forced into solo combat, she can defend herself adequately. Her brains allow her to outsmart her opponents. |
