Footprints

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the same; one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happend at the very lowerest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questions the Lord about it. "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you the most you would leave me." The lord replied my precious precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints it was then that i carried you.

Ok..I like this lil story...don't worry I am not the most religious person you ever saw..and I don't go to church every Sunday I just like what this story represents..thats all..

The Basketball Prayer

May the good lord
Speed my footwork
And make my passes score
Make each shot a perfect one
I would not ask for more

The clock of life

The clock of life is wound but once
And no man has the power
To tell just when the hand will stop
At late or early hour
Now is the only time you own
Live, love and toil with a will
Place no faith in tommorow
For the clock may then be still

Reminders:

Maybe God wants us to meet a
few wrong people before meeting
the right one so that when we finally
meet the right person, we will know
how to be greatful for that gift.

When the door of happiness closes,
another opens, but often times we look
so long at the closed door that we don't
see the one which has been opened for us.

The best kind of friend is the kind you
can sit on a porch and swing with,
never say a word, and then walk away
feeling like it was the best
conversation you've ever had.

It's true that we don't know what we've
got until we lose it, but it's also true
that we don't know what we've been
missing until it arrives.

Don't go for looks; they can decieve.
Don't go for wealth; even that fades away.
Go for someone who makes you smile because
it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright.

Find the one that makes your heart smile.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet,
enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow
to keep you human, enough hope to bring you joy.

Always put yourself in another's shoes.
If you feel that it hurts you,
it probably hurts the other person, too.

The happiest of people don't necessarily
have the best of everything;
they just make the most of everything that
comes along their way.

The brightest future will always be based
on a forgotten past,
you can't get on well in life until you let go
of past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and
everyone around you was smiling.
Live your life so that when you die,
you're the one who is smiling and
everyone around you is crying.

TEAM SPIRIT

We are all baisicly hedonists inside
We want what feels good
We need what gives us pleasure
We want the thrill, the rush we get from
going up that hill or across that finish line
or one mile more, that we ever thought we could or would.
When you join a team, you join a bunch of other people
Who want the same thrill as you
Even if you play in the rain
Even if you run up hill
Even if you absoloutely have no idea
where the finsh line is supposed to be
You join a team to be part of something
bigger than you
Not better, but more
And maybe in a team your just a peice of pie
But without you its a lousy tasting pie
"IF IT FEELS GOOD THEN JUST DO IT"

Pressures

"These kids have it great"
Yeah thats what they think.
Believing we've got it all
just because all they ever had for fun
was a baseball bat and a barbie doll.

The stress and pressure so unreal
it's nearly impossible to deal.
But we pull through
each and every day,
always wearing the "right clothes"
and knowing the "cool" words to say

With all the pressure around us
it's hard to be ourselves.
Take a sip, get a buzz, wanna smoke?
I don't think so. Life's not a joke,
They think we're all druggies, drunks
and out-of-control teens,
but whether we respect ours or not,
we all know what life means.

Overcoming the stress,
believeing you can do your best,
always putting your talent to the test
Teen years are great,
don't get me wrong,
just don't let pressure
take over your life-
or you'll be singing
a different song.

Ten Things I Hate About You
I hate the way you talk to me,
And the way you cut your hair.
I hate the way you drive my car,
I hate it when you stare.
I hate your big dumb combat boots,
And the way you read my mind.
I hate you so much it makes me sick,
It even makes me rhyme.
I hate the way you're always right,
I hate it when you lie.
I hate the way you make me laugh,
Even worse when you make me cry.
I hate it when you're not around,
And the fact that you didn't call.
But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you,
Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.

Hey Alright well the following were poems that I love to read, but this here is a lil different, its a song, by Blink 182, and don't worry I am not psycho or anything, its just the first time I listened to it I found it a really good song, then I read the Lyrics, and it then became sad, so I am sure most of you heard of this song....anyways just a thought to let you in on!

Adams Song (Blink 182)
I never thought I'd die alone
I laughed the loudest, who'd have known?
I traced the cord back to the wall
No wonder it was never plugged in at all
I took my time, I hurried up
The choice was mine, I didn't think enough
I'm too depresed to go on, you'll be sorry when I'm gone

I never conqured, rarely came
16 just held such better days
Days when I still felt alive
We couldn't wait to get outside
The world was watching
Hate to try
The tour was over we'd surivied
I couldn't wait till I got home
To pass the time in my room alone

I never thought I'd die alone
Another six months, I'll be unknown
Give all my things to all my friends
You'll never step foot in my room again
You'll close it off, board it up
Remember the time that I spilled the cup
Of apple juice in the hall
Please tell mom this is not her fault

I never conqured, rarely came
16 just held such better days
Days when I still felt alive
We couldn't wait to get outside
The world was watching
Hate to try
The tour was over we'd surivied
I couldn't wait till I got home
To pass the time in my room alone

I never conqured, rarely came
Tomorrow holds such better days
Days when I can still feel alive
When I can't wait to get outside
The world is watching
The time goes by
The tour is over I'd surivied
I can't wait till I get home
To pass the time in my room alone

This is just a poem...I thought to add in...

By walking I found out
Where I was going.
By intensely hating, how to love.
By loving, whom and what to love.
By grieving, how to laugh from the belly.
Out of infirmity, I have built strength.
Out of untruth, truth.
From hypocrisy, I weaved directness.
Almost now I know who I am.
Almost I have the boldness to be that man.
Another step
And I shall be where I started from.
