Fetchin' Gretchen the Worm and Her Earth-Dwelling Pals

Once there was a little worm. Her name was Gretchen. She was the pet of a little boy named Phish. When Phish threw leaves, Gretchen would bring them back to him. He called her Fetchin' Gretchen. But one day, Gretchen wondered what was beyond Phish's backyard. So when Phish threw a leaf one day, Gretchen wiggled away. Eventually she made a new home underground. Phish was glad to be rid of the pesky worm. Gretchen was glad to be rid of the pesky boy.

Gretchen had two new friends: Pete the Mud Dobber and Bo the Grub Worm. At one point, Bo fell in love with Gretchen. It turned out that Gretchen was gay, and Bo was only infatuated anyway. So they all just kept on being friends. Eventually Gretchen's curiosity returned. She convinced Bo and Pete to explore outside their home. One their way they joined up with Kyle the Grasshopper, Penelope the Beetle, and Stump the Uprooted Stump. They were all friends and they went everywhere together. One day they were so happy to be friends that they made a bug-pyramid. While shouting with joy, they were hit by a chicken truck.

Moral: Excessive happiness will get you killed.
