The conditions at the prison camps in world war 1 were very harsh. In one instance the German prisoners were forced to run a min in the heart of Britain as part of their punishment. This way the prisoners of war were able to be of help to the British and their war efforts. Life was horrible in the prison camps, camps that are nothing like the summer ones, summer that brings more death than life, death which is always abundant in the camps. ß----- Freight
