On the day of Arthur's wedding, Gawain is knighted.
To what does King Arthur swear his knights?

King Arthur makes his knights swear to not do anything outrageous, commit murder, to always flee treason, to not be cruel, give mercy when it is asked for, remain loyal to him, to always help a damsel in distress, and don't battle for the wrong reasons.
Explain the significance of Leodegrance's gift to Arthur.

Leodegrance's gift of the Round Table is important because it was a gift to him from Arthur's father, and because the circular shape of the table represents unity, divinity, perfection, and a sense of no beginning nor end.
The King Arthur legends tell of a time in the early history of
England when a belief in magic was supplanted by a belief in Christianity. What elements do you find of both magic and religion in this legend?

An example of magic in the story is that Merlin gives Arthur the option of being able to wed anyone he wants, rather than just Guenevere.  The Round Table, on the other hand, represents religion in its divinity.  Knights must swear on religious holidays, as well.
