State of South Carolina - Know all men by these presents that I Amos Gilbert, Anderson District in the state aforesaid in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars to me in hand paid by Ransom Hubbard of the state of South Carolina and Pickens District, have granted, bargained, sold,
and released and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and release unto the said Ransom Hubbard all that plantation or tract of land containing ninety three acres more or less situate in the District of Pickens on the waters of Conerosse beginnning on a Post Oak on the south side of Wolf Pen Branch then S 40 W with Amos Gilbert's line to Crosby Miller's thence along said line N 30 W to Elisha Miller's stake X 3 thence S 60 W to a Sourwood X 3 on Wolf Pen Branch thence up said branch to an Ash X 3 thence S 40 W to the beginning. Together with all and singular the rights, members, hereditaments and appurtenances to the said premises belonging or in anywise incedent or appertaining. To have and to hold all and singular the said premises unto the sid Ransom Hubbard, his heirs, and assigns forever and I do hereby bind myself, my heirs and assigns, executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said Ransom Hbbard or to claim the same or any part thereof. Witness my hand and seal this thriteenth day of June in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty Two and in the fifty seventh year of the Independence of the United States of America.
