    This indenture made this the tenth day of September Eighteen Hundred and Sixty Six between Darcus Gilbert of said State and County of the first part and Jasper Gilbert of the same place of the other part -  Witnesseth that the said Darcus Gilbert for and in consideratin of the sum of twenty dollars cash in hand paid, the receipt is hereby acknowledged and for and consideration of the natural love and affection which she has and bears to her said brother in law, hath given, granted, and conveyed and by these presents give, grant, and convey to the said Jasper Gilbert, his heirs and assigns then acres more or less and off the NorthWest corner of lot of land number one hundred and forty two, boundaries as follows: commencing on a pine at the North side of said lot thence South to a white Oak tree thence West to the original line to a Chestnut stake.
     To have and to hold said tract or parcel of land during the natural life of the said Darcus Gilbert and thereto the heirs of Simeon Gilbert, to him the said Jasper Gilbert, his heirs and assigns together with all and the rights, members and appurtenances to the same in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use and benefit and behoof during the natural life of the said Darcus Gilbert in fee simple.
     In testimony whereof the said Darcus Gilbert hath hereunto set her hand and affixed her seal this the day and year above written.
