    This indenture made the fifteenth day of February Eighteen hundred and sixty six between Simeon Gilbert of said county and State of the one part and Darcus Gilbert his wife of the said Simeon Gilbert of the same place of the other part  Witnesseth that the said Simeon Gilbert for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars cash in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and for and in consideration of the natrual love and affection which he has and bears for his said wife hath given, granted, and conveyed to the said Darcus Gilbert all that tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the thrid distrct of the county aforesaid being part of lot number one hundred and forty two, containing one hundred and fifty acres more or less being all of said tract of land levied on and sold by the Sheriff as the property of James McNabb and bought by John T. Carter on the sixth day of June, Eighteen Hundred and forty.
     To have and to hold said tract or parcel of land to her the said Darcus Gilbert, her life turns and at her death thereto his the said Simeon Gilbert's heirs together with all and singular the rights, members, and appurtenances to the same in any manner belonging to her and their own proper use, benefit and behoof forever in fee simple.  In witness whereof the said Simeon Gilbert hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above written.
