South Carolina   )   Know all men by these presents that I William
Pickens District )   Gilbert for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars paid by Joseph White of the District aforesaid

have granted bargained sold and released and by these presents do grant bargain sell and release unto the said Joseph White all that tract or parcel of land situated in Pickens District on brances off the Little Beaverdam Creek waters of the Toogaloo River containing by estimation one hundred acres more or less, beginning at Mr. Johnson's line and Bryces Corner thence down east fork of the Mustergrown (?) branch to Mr. Johnston's Corner thence eastwardly to Robert Fair's spring branch thence up the same head thereof thence north to Main (?) Road thence westwardly to the beginning.  Together with all and singular the rights, members, hereditaments, and appurtenances to have and to hold all and singular the said premises unto the said Joseph White, his heirs or persons and do hereby bind myself, my heirs, executors here to warrant and defend all and singular the said premises unto the said Joseph White, his heirs and assigns forever against myself and all manner of persons lawfully caiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.  Witness my hand and seal this the 23rd day of November 1830.

                                     Harden and on oath and confirms that he saw William Gilbert sign, seal and deliver the the written conveyances for the use and purposes within mentioned and that he saw Henry McCrary sign his name thereto with himself sworn to and subscribed by me this 14th day of March 1831 - J. Myers, J.P.
