My Story

I discovered Ani in April of 2000 in my honors senior english class. I was writing an essay on how women have changed society by their music, and my teacher suggested I listen to Ani Difranco. She lent me her "Like I Said" album, and as soon as I heard the first chords of "Anticipate" I was hooked.

I will forever be greatful to my english teacher, Ms. Johnson for introducing me to such wonderful music, and such a phenomenal woman. In "I'm No Heroine" Ani says "I just hope some woman hears my music, and it helps her through her day." Well, Ani, you sure do help me through my days!
